I recently added a digital lineup to my cable service and setup my TV402U to record the digital channels by feeding my STB output to the TV402U composite inputs (I'm using a USB-UIRT to change channels on the STB, which is working fine). I'm still recording analog channels using the TV402U tuner (which frees up the STB to watch other shows while recording analog programs).
So, I set this up by creating a second source (such that I have sources labeled Plextor A and Plextor D). I did not change the config of Plextor A other than to remove the digital channels from its lineup. I added Plextor D and configured it to use the composite inputs and I removed all the analog channels from its lineup. Both sources reference the same device number/id.
I get the following behavior. Video capture works as desired. Audio on the other hand gets confused. Once I start capturing an analog channel, a subsequent change to a digital channel produces the correct video, but I get audio from the old analog channel. If I reboot the system, I can record or view (time shifted) a digital channel and get the correct audio from the composite input, but once I've changed to an analog source I can never again get the audio to capture from the composite input.
Attached are the recording service logs from a simple experiment: watch analog channel, then try to wach digital channel.
