I have a NOVA T USB 2 with a laptop that has an ATI Radeon 9700 128MB graphics card.

By connecting via the S-Video cable I am able to view my desktop on my TV. But whenever I try to watch a recorded video, it opens in an ActiveMovie window. Is there anyway I can stop this so that is plays within GBPVR?

In the config ap, I have the following settings

1. playback - software decoder
2. Overlay manager enabled
3. BDA mulitplexer - microsoft DVR-MS

Thanks for any help

(I am not the most techie person...)

Can you post your gbpvr.exe-native.log file?

If you switch to Overlay instead of VMR in the config app, then it should get rid of the ActiveMovie window. Alternatively google for 'Cyberlink EnableVMR9' for details of the registry settings to enable VMR support in the Cyberlink decoder.

In the config app I have ticked Overlay Manager under the Playback tab. This is shown in the config.xml as <Renderer>Overlay</Renderer>, however the ActiveMovie window still appears. What am I doing wrong?

I dont know, but it sure looks like it is trying to use VMR. May try google for 'Cyberlink EnableVMR9' for details of the registry settings to enable VMR support in the Cyberlink decoder.

Thanks Sub

In the config put all possible settings to point at cyberlink and then chose VMR 9.0. This seems to have solved the problem.
