I'm using the nvidia purevideo mpeg2 decoders for mpeg2 playback.
For live tv this just works fine, but when i playback a recording a different decoder is used. Why ?
I can't seem to trace back the decoder what is being used, i do know it isn't the nvidia one since the pictogram doesn't show up in the task bar.
I've set the highest merit for the purevideo decoder.
Can't seem to run graphedit, i can't "connect to a remote graph".
When i play a recording in wmp10 then the nvidia ones are being used, but i can't use graphedit on wmp 10 either.
Any suggestions ?

For some strange reason the nvidia icon thing doesnt always show up. I'm not sure why. If you want to be sure its being used, you can see the list of directshow filters that are being used for playback in the gbpvr.exe-native.log file.

This is normal. You can only connect to remote graphs if the applications specifically allow it.

you might also try lastgraph.grf...[in gbpvr dir]
unless you're using overlay it should have last graph from gbpvr in it..
[for some reason you can't load it if using overlay output!?]
also make sure any other decoders aren't at an even higher merit [which is possible]

In the gbpvr.exe-native.log file it says it uses the nvidia codec.
So i guess all is well, i think it's still a bit strange though.
Thanks for you answers.
