Hi@all

Last night i´d a little problem.
I was watching a recording via the MVP as my server went to hibernate mode. Okay - i told the machine to go to hibernate after 1 minute inaktivity.
Normaly my machine is in power off mode and should only be activated for a recording and shut down after recording- thats why i selected the setting of hibernating after 1 minute.
Do i need to select this settings or is there any other way to control startup and shutdown for gbpvr- mostly i fall to sleep while watching tv and i dont want the machine running the whole nightRolleyes

Sounds like your machine isnt very good at detecting 'inactivity'. Usually the fact that the disks are being read from is enough to keep it awake.

For whatever reason, systems don't always see media playback as acitivity. I've seen it w/ multiple systems over the years where it will kick in the screen saver, ect, as if the system is doing nothing. Often it's justed on your interaction (mouse, remote, keyboard), and not activity, per se.

This should fix it. It monitors disk and network activity, as well as CPU. Also fixes the "won't hibernate" problem that CPU spikes can cause.

I do not know if this may help You, but:
powercfg /h off
will deactivate hibernation and
powercfg /h on
will activate it.

I use it while I am downloading my epg.
