I'm using a USB-UIRT and Girder to receive my remote commands and to "blast" the IR commands for the DISH receiver. Because of my setup I've not had to use an additional IR transmitter between the USB-UIRT and the receiver, the layout of equipment and the room has been sufficient for the DISH receiver to "see" the IR sent from the USB-UIRT.

When running in TS mode I've noticed that in almost every case when the USB-UIRT sends the channel command the DISH receiver "misses" part of it. For example if it's switching to channel 135 the receiver on-screen display will show "35" or "13" which causes the receiver to go to the "info" channel, channel "101". Watching the LED on the USB-UIRT clearly sent three digits but the receiver didn't get them. And because GBPVR thinks it set the channel to 135 you can't simply re-enter the channel number.

The strange this is that this does not happen when GB is in Preview mode and I don't recall that the DISH receiver has ever failed to switch channels every time. It looks as if there is some kind of timing problem when TS mode is enabled that causes the channel data to be 'truncated' or damaged in some manner.

I've just noticed this in trying to run in TS mode as my normal mode now that the "30 second glitch" is dealt with in the latest GB release. I can't say for sure that it would not have happened in previous GB releases because the "glitch" kept me from using TS mode as my normal mode.

I'm curious if anyone else has seen anything like this and has any thought on fixing it. I don't see this as a GB problem but rather something in the timing relationship between GB and UIRT for IR transmit.

Its not clear from your post, are you using the Girder channel changer or the USB-UIRT channel changer?

Do you have the priority of all the process at normal priority, or do you have some things running at high priority?

Girder is being used on the input side. But in the Capture Card config it uses the USB-UIRT.

All of the processes are default installation priorities.

I'm not really sure. Regardless of whether its in live preview or timeshift mode, it calls the same code.

In timeshift mode there is a bit more going on in the background, starting new recording etc.

i noticed this sometimes too [i have dish and pvr150] so i had it delay the sending...[in irblaster setup for pvr150 it has selectable delay for tuning start]
making it pause a few seconds before it sent the digits so the machine could settle a bit and would send the complete numbers...
if you don't have this setting, you could always run cmd.exe /c tune.bat as channell changer and then make batch file with delay first, then normal channell changing command..[i did that before i found built-in setting]
worked for me, but now i no longer need it...[optimized that machine it was on]
you may have to make it wait between 5-10 secs before changing..
