I installed a 2nd PVR-150 card, re-installed all the drivers for the card and the IR Remote program, but now the remote does not work. I tried plugging the remote into both cards, but it does not make a difference. Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry, I guess this probably should have been posted in the Hardware forum.

You might be best to ask this sort of question over at http://www.shspvr.com/smf

I had this happen to me when I installed newer drivers, with only 1 PVR150 card.

Remote didn't start working again until I ran the hcwclear utility and re-installed the older driver.

Thanks, I didn't know about the hcwclear utility. I'll try that...

Also, you could try moving the IR receiver to the other PVR 150. This is a known issue with hauppauge equipment. Good luck getting help with this. Hauppauge doesn't seem to give a fuck about it. (Can you tell I am bitter about it as well?)

I tried plugging the receiver into both cards (1 at a time) and it didn't help.

After a few attempts, I got it working. Here's what I had to do:

1. Run HCWCLEAR to remove all traces of the drivers and applications
2. Shut down PC
3. Insert only 1 of the tuner cards in the PC
4. Turn on PC
5. When new hardware is detected, manually point to the latest tuner card driver folder (unzipped from downloaded beta driver file)
6. Reboot PC
7. Install tuner card driver update
8. Install IR remote program
9. Setup the tuner card in GBPVR and update the EPG for it
10. Shut down PC
11. Insert the 2nd tuner card in the PC
12. Repeat steps 4 - 6
13. Setup the 2nd tuner card in GBPVR and update the EPG for it

I had a similar issue before. In my casse I found out that I had to completely power off the machine to get the remote working again. With power off I mean unplug the mains for 10 sec and than restart. You will have to do this for both cards to find out which one the IR.exe software is using.
