Best Universal Remote?

I am considering either the Logitech Hamony 628 or 680. Does anyone have one of these? Whats your opinion? I would also be interested in suggestions other than the Logitech remotes.

i really like my logitech xbox 360 universal remote, you dont need an xbox 360 to use it, its just aimed at that market. its a learning remote and connects to the pc, the s/w it comes with (needed to configure it) can be a PITA at times, but the remote works well.

I ordered the Harmony 520 and the MX-500. I'll try them out and return the one I dont want (actually my wife will probably wind up making the decision).

I have a Harmony 520 and it's great. Does everything I want. Takes a bit to setup if you need to control lots of devices but works extremely well.

I've set it up to control 6 devices.

Hey, you MX-500 guys, count me in too! I've had the MX-500 for a couple of years, and just a few months ago I picked up another one off of eBay to ensure I'd never be without if my main one broke.

I did hit a snag, though, that maybe you'd be able to assist with. I've got an MCE remote and it appears to use the dreaded toggle bit (a learning remote's achilles heel). What PC remote are you using that does NOT have the toggle bit, or have you found a workaround?

I bought a All4One URC-8910 about 6 months back. I loved it a first but now it just seems too fat and I STILL haven't gotten used to the buton layout, it's just not comfortable. Sure it'll control everything including the kitchen sink and has macro's (that I've never used) but next time I'm going to shoot for form factor and simplicity.

I cant remember the exact details, but there is a registry setting thats turns off the toggle bit requirement in the IR Receiver. Google for details.

I like the Harmony seris and probably will get one in the very near future - I think they just look cool.
