LOL... Welcome to the club ... I haven't found any solutions, except to disable it from being run in the PostUpdateEPG.bat

Try a forum search on "priorityrecording" (w/o the parentheses)

Here's an example of where I got to ....

The most likely cause of this issue is that priority recording can not validate the PriorityRecording.xml file against the PriorityRecording.xsd file. 99% of the time this is the cause. Make sure that the schemaLocation attribute in PriorityRecording points to where you have the schemas stored.

Still no time frame on updating to .NET 2.0. I'm happy with my system as is, and see no reason to update. I would hope that Sub would add priority based recording to GBPVR, as it's a basic feature that all other software seems to include in the base system. If you want it, I would suggest making wish list items. The worse he can do is say no.

If I do upgrade, then I'll update CDK Scheduler to .NET 2.0 as well.

To say the least, I think you are selling your program a little short! Wink Big Grin

Priority based recordings.
Used with DeleteSchedule.exe, eliminates a lot of issues.
Pause and resume scheduled recordings.
Schedule recordings based on partial title / subtitle / description match.
Schedule shows on “any” channel.
Schedule shows that aren’t in the guide.
Schedules are stored in a separate file (independent of the GBPVR database) and can be easily backed up.

I’m sure I’m overlooking a few things I use CK Scheduler for on a daily basis, but yes upgrading(?) at this time is difficult.

Jim,

For all the reasons you state is why I originally wrote PriorityRecordings, and why others have enhanced it (deleterecordings wasn't orginally part of the package). It's also why I feel it really needs to be incorporated into the base system. Besides the fact that I have a very stable and working system, and see no desire on my part to update to the .NET 2.0, just for GBPVR, I also do not have a lot of time to devote to maintining the system.

I already have a 3/4 finished project of integrating CDK Scheduler with the Web Admin, but haven't had time to complete it with Ton who also was working on it. With that being said, the source code is available on SourceForge, and I'm more than willing to give people access once they have a patch for CDK Scheduler. I've done so for Ton and Fla.

Again, I strongly feel that these features should be in the base system, but they aren't as high a priority if you have two or more tuners, but not everybody has that luxury. Priority scheduling is aleady included in the base systems for SageTV, Beyond TV, Myth, and Media Portal. The now defunct MeedioTV also had this feature.

So, if you really want it included in future versions of GBPVR, I'd put a wish list item out for Sub. If enough people ask, he may do it, but it is ultimately his project.

Steven...in your PriorityRecordings.xml, make sure you have the following line set to the location that you have GBPVR installed:

Code:
d1p1:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd"

Change that line to point to your installation directory. That should take care of your error.

I would just echo Jim in saying that it is a great program - I've been very happily using it for ages.

I'm beginning to regret my upgrade to 97.9. If I had thought there was any danger of losing priority scheduling, I wouldn't have upgraded. Sad

Thanks for the great work Big Grin and I too hope we can sort out priority scheduling for GB-PVR - one way or the other.

PriorityRecording does not work with 97.9, if you need it to work, you have to use a version prior to 97.9.
