Subtitles Enabled?

When the MVP first starts I now see a message in the upper righthand corner stating that subtitles are enabled. I don't see any subtitles though. Is it because my card (PVR 150) is not capable of recording subtitles from an analog signal or is there a configuration setting I am missing?

GB-PVR supports teletext subtitles from analog devices (PVR150 etc) and digital devices (DVB-T/S/C), and DVB Subtitles from digital devices (DVB-T/S/C).

I've also noticed this change with starting playback with the latest release (non MVP). Is there any way though to remove this message as I have no interest in subtitles? I've tried setting to false the "BDA enable sub...." in config.xml but no luck.

If you have the following settings in your config.xml then you shouldnt see that status message:

<InternalSRTDisplay>false</InternalSRTDisplay>
<InternalDvbSubDisplay>false</InternalDvbSubDisplay>
