Subtitles Enabled

a couple of versions back, I noticed that there was the caption: 'Subtitles Enabled'. Before I wanted to say something, a newer version was released, and I did not see it anymore.

With 98.8b, it's back. I have since learned that CTRL Y or the yellow button will make that caption go away, (presumably disabling subtitles) but it's not permanent.

I have searched the config.xml, and can't find what makes it always on... I'd like it off

After pressing Ctrl-Y it should remain off until you next press Ctrl-Y. Have you found some other set of steps that turns it on? If so, let me know and I'll fix it for the next release.

Actually here's how it happens for me...

I play an AVI. Subtitle is enabled. I disable it. I finished watching.

I start watching another AVI. Subtitle is enabled again. I need to disable it again...

I cannot remember if it happens while watching recorded content. I think so ...

This is the same on both my PVR and MVP

A thousand pardons...

Disabling Subtitles with CTRL Y does save the setting between videos. At least on my PVR. Haen't tried it on the MVP yet...

I don't know where you get the time. I'm going crazy with my own projects, and they're nothing compared to the great PVR software

Well, it seems that GB-PVR will keep the 'subtitles diabled' for it's current session.

If I restart the GBPVR frontend, and then play a vid - mpg/avi I'm epresented with the 'enabled' again...

Its stored in a registry setting, not memory, so is supposed to be retained between sessions.

OK, but it wasn't doing that for the last two versions...

I guess I could have ZProcess override the setting, when MVP calls it for transcoding. Not quite sure where to hook that in the PVR frontend...

I loooked for the entry in the registry, couldn't find it...

Did you find a fix for this? I'm also seeing this in 98.8, "subtitles enabled" keeps coming back.
