I am having problems getting GBPVR to work with my two different capture sources and was wondering if I may have it setup right.

I have an ATI 550Pro and have my regular cable plugged into the cable tuner and my digital cable plugged into my svideo.

I set up two different capture sources which I called Cable and Digital.

In the "Digital" source I added just one channel, No. 1 which I called "Video 1"

In the "Cable" source I have all my regular cable channels, 2 through 66.

When I go into GBPVR it shows all the channels I have entered, 1 through 66 but it won't switch back and forth between the capture sources as I change channels. It's always either my Svideo feed on all channels. Or my regular cable showing up on my svideo channel.

Any ideas how I can get this going? I'd love to be able to switch from cable to svideo by simply changing channels.

I could be wrong... so this is just an idea:

I had an older ATI Tuner card that would only use the cable input if it was plugged in, with cable and S-Video plugged in it would ignore the S-Video. The only way I could use the S-Video (which was actually in a breakout box) was to unplug the cable tv cable. Weird... Doesn't solve your issue but it may start you on the right path for trouble shooting.

Also... is the 550 a dual tuner card? With two separate capture sources, I would think it would need its own capture source for S-Video to work the way you want it to.

I assume that you have the digital source with an single channel and the input as svideo, no channel changer required, etc?

Thanks for the replies.

Rowle: It isn't dual tuners but it has an SVideo and Cable input.

Ted: I have the digital source set up as a single channel with the input as svideo and no channel changer required.

The thing is both work but not at the same time. If I open GBPVR, click guide and hit channel 1, my svideo feed will show on the screen. The moment I click to channel two, i get a blank screen with scratching sounds.

If I close GBPVR, open it again (without changing configuration), go to the guide and click channel 2, the regular cable feed is showing and I can watch any channel but when I go to Channel 1, it doesn't switch to the SVideo capture source.

If ya need any further explanation lemme know. It might be confusing..

Nothing really springs to mind. Reproduce the channel changing problme, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

i forget everything that i'm supposed to put in here but here is what i think might help.

I kept getting timed out when I was trying to upload the logs so I uploaded them to this website right here.

If ya scroll down and click the continue button, you can download the file.

Sorry, I'm not really sure. The logs look fine.

ohk Sad

Those logs were taken starting on channel one, the svideo feed, and changing channels to channel two, the cable tuner feed. The svideo channel worked fine but when I changed to channel two the screen went white and sounded funny.

As I mentioned, whatever capture source i use first when I load GBPVR works, the second capture source does not for some reason. Is there any way you can implement a button, like in WinDVR, that allows you to switch between, svideo and cable tuner simply by clicking your mouse on the button?
