Skipping During Playback

Sometimes, when playing back a recording, the video will skip, almost as if it is on fast forward. Any ideas why this would happen? It doesn't happen every time, and sometimes will only be part of the recording. Makes me think that something is happening during the recording(?).

I'm using a Haup 150, with an Athlon 64 3000, 1 gig ram, etc.
Not sure what version of GBPVR, and whenever I go to "Download" I just get a weird screen of code?
