I'm fairly new to gb-pvr. I've got it working with Kworld 110 with no issues. My other card for OTA is a fusion hdtv 5 RT lite card, using the latest driver 3.50.01.

GB version is 98.13

My problem is that whenever I try to map digital channels to epg, it doesn't find any channels. If I try to veiw livetv through the fusion, it is just a blank black screen. At first I thought it could be my signal strength. I'm using a directional antenna in my attic, with the feed split 3 ways, 1 into kworld, 1 into the tuner in my tv and 1 into the fusion. But the divco software works fine and gets 100% signal strength on all channels. The kworld works fine and the tuner in the tv works fine. So I don't believe it is my signal strength. I've even switched the cables around, using the Kworld feed into the fusion, and the same thing happens.

If I try to input the freqenices manually, the same thing happens. I get a blank black screen. I'm not sure what else to try, I haven't found a solution searching the forums. Any help would be appreicated.

I can see its failing to connect up this device. Its not clear exactly why, but its most likely either:

1) the device is already in use somewhere in the system (fusion software??)
2) or the pin names in BDA.ini for this card dont match the names used by the version of the drivers you've installed
3) or the drivers arent functioning correctly

I am using the Fusion and it works fine. This version took me a while to figure out the sequence that was required and to map the digital channels but otherwise it worked great. Are you using Zap2It for your channels or XMLTV? I have used both and it does not matter to me.

The new frequencies for the digital are quite different from the previous versions. My digital channel 3.1 looks like this T:33,3,1~P:1~V:49~A:52~PMT:48~N:>3.1

If you need help I might be able to answer some questions.

Hm, I should have read this message before upgrading to 98.13. My Fusion 5 Lite cards worked fine in 98.08b. After upgrading to 98.13b, recording and live TV both failed. So I reverted back to 98.08b.

It would have worked fine for you, but with the ATSC changes in v0.98.13 you would have needed to use the new scanning to setup the channels (via the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button).

I got my issue resolved, just shut down all MCE processes that started with an e* in the taskmanager, works like a charm now, no issues at all.

Now if I could just get the avermedia purity 500 working, I'd be in gb-pvr heaven!

Thanks sub,

I have upgraded to 98.13. After using 'map digital channels to epg channels' button and it worked. Now everything is back to normal. I should have read more carefully.

I'm working on getting my Fusion HDTV5 Lite card going again.

I worked on it a year ago and got it working but took it out because my recordings were bad because of my underpowerd computer at that time.

I've got the capture source setup and the epg working but when I go to view live TV on one of these HD broadcasts it just shows up blank. When I schedule one of these HD shows, it appears to be recording as the file size grows but when I play it back it is also blank.

When I went into map the digital channels to epg channels, the screen in the top right was also always blank.

I feel like I'm missing something simple on this.

Thanks,
GaretMax

If its recording at a normal size, this makes me thing its playback problem - decoders etc.

If you zip and attach a set of logs, I'll see if I can see anything.

Here's my logs and a screenshot of a recording file.

Looks like just over a GB of file for 10 minutes of recording. Is that reasonable? I might need to get more hard drive space again.Big Grin

The file is made into DVR-MS format. Do I need to convert this in order to play it in GB-PVR?

Edit:
- I've tried various things but can't seem to play a dvr-ms file in either GB-PVR or Windows Media Player or the Fusion software.
- I put in the auto conversion to make .mpg files from the GB-PVR config and tried to play it. When I play this .mpg file in GB-PVR it doesn't play anything and then jumps out of the play mode.
- I ran the mux checker and it didn't find any muxes so I downloaded a Cyberlink Mux and registered it and changed the bda multiplexer option to it but that didn't work either.
- I changed the fusion software to make .mpg files instead of .tp files. It would play this file in the fusion software but not in GB-PVR.

Thanks
