Here's the deal-- i'm at my house in louisville for a month, and I brought my pvr. So I want to ask, what's the easiest way to change my tv guide settings without messing anything up? I've noticed that if I simply change the zap2it settings, all the channels are out of order, and sometimes I have other problems.

I don't like to mess with my current settings if at all possible, so if I were in your shoes I would set up a new zap2it account and associated recording source for your secondary location. Then disable the primary recording source while you're in Louisville.

The first time you update the EPG GB-PVR will create new channels, but you may still run into problems if any share identical names with your current channels. In any case, you'll have to manually edit the channel list just to make sure that everything is set up as you expect before actually using the secondary source.

ok when you move, remove all recurring recordings in the app

the open config and export all of your recordings, then empty the EPG and delete your capture source, go to the channels tab and remove all unreferenced channels, it should be empty. if its not (or you could just do this step) copy empty.db3 over gbpvr.db3 (I think) that will get rid of everything. then set it up like you did a new system, create the capture source etc.

I think Ted's method is safer than mine. You might be able to get mine to work but leaving two competing recording sources in one database could get nasty.
