Serial cable to Motorola DCT2224 for Remote

I'm not sure if this question should go into the group to to the hardware...apologies if I have.

MythTV has the ability to assign the use of a serial cable to control the comcast box to the Hauppage cards and then use the Hauppage remote. Is this possible with GBPVR or do I have to use the IR sensor to the comcast box?

Ted uses it himself, and remembers trying to find it, so I remember exactly where it was, because it was a painful experience, and if I can save others from that pain, it will help.

You'd need to drop a line to blader_se so he can give you a username/password before you can change things on the wiki.

darn it... I never did this before the file disappeared hopefully I still have a copy at home that I can post there
