i fried my mvp remote :( does wintv remote have similar functions?

By a freak accident, I accidently left my mvp's remote next to the heater. it melted the plastic next to the batteries....arggh....and fused the battery w/ the remote...

i don't have the wintv's pvr usb2 remote w/ me now, but would it work in controlling the mvp?

If i'm not mistaken it's the same remote

It is the same, infact when I had an mediamvp it came with the 34 button and I used the 45 button remote that came with my nova-t on it.
