Hi,

Have a similar issue as http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28548, except I have sound but no video of any kind of media with the new executable.

Running the old gbpvr-executable allows for playing all media with sound.

Have tried reinstalling the video decoders, including the mpv-decoder suggested on the other above post, and also changing to different video decoders in the GBPVR control panel/playback with no effect.

What to do?

TIA.

zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

What video card are you using?

You need the pvrx2.exe.log-file, right?

It's a Geforce2 MX/400 running a 32" WS-tv as the primary monitor. The gfx-driver is the default WinXP-one. Any other gfx-driver puts up a B/W-picture on the tv no matter how I tweak it... Sad

PVRX2.exe.log and PVRX2.exe-native.log are the most relevent here.

I dont know much about the Geforce2 MX/400, but I'm wondering if its not up to spec for the new Direct3D 9 UI.

Attached the requested logs.

I think The GF2-cards can cope with Direct3D v9. Will check Nvidias site and report back if I find anything re this.

TIA.

As far as I can tell from the tech briefs on GF2MX DX-capabilities, the Geforce-cards supports DX9 from driver release 40 version 42.51. I run v53.30 so I'm assuming it does indeed support DX9.

You are now using the ffdshow mpegdecoder, I'd choose another one, if you havent got one, you can dl one here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GPL_...Filter.htm
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

How can you tell? Why is not ffdshow mpegdecoder preferred (or good enough)?

TIA.

I'd also recommend trying without ffdshow. It has been known to cause problems for some users. Maybe try the decoder from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

Can you reset the logging level to debug, then reproduce and repost the logs?
