I just got a new PC and am trying to get GB-PVR v1.0.16 to run on it. It has an Intel DG965RY motherboard and is running Windows XP Pro SP2. Installation seemed to go OK, but when I try to start PVRX2.exe (or GB-PVR.exe), it just fails with an error message: "PVRX2.exe - Application Error. The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."

Can you suggest what I might try next? Thanks.

Do you have all the required pre-requisites, including .NET 2.0? http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Quick...oadInstall

Also what CPU and graphics card have you got?

Thanks, McBainUK! I'd forgotten that I had to put .net 2.0 on the new machine. I also got DirectX and installed it.

Now I've got a new problem that appears whenever I try to run PVRX2.exe (or GB-PVR.exe): "Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video render."

I've got an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 CPU. The video system is part of the Intel DG965RY motherboard chipset: Intel G965 Graphics Subsystem, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3000 (Intel GMA X3000). The motherboard also will support a PCI Express x16 add-in video card if necessary, but I'd hoped to avoid that.

Sorry, it sounds like the on board video doesnt support VMR9. You could try updating the video card drivers in hopes that the add VMR9 support - this has happened before, but its pretty rare.

It wont help you long term, but you could try setting the video renderer option to 'overlay' in the config app, and just run the old GBPVR.exe interface for now.

Thanks much, Sub. I've now got everything working with GBPVR.exe and overlay rendering.

Your suggestion of looking at the drivers is a good one. I've had driver-related problems with this board in other areas, so I'll hope that getting a new video driver will get everything fixed up.

At least I can use GB-PVR on my new PC now, which is great.

Well, in building the new PC I made a real novice's mistake--I forgot to install all the drivers for the motherboard! Now that I've done that, everything's working great.

The support here on the forums is really terrific.

Thanks for all the help. It's wonderful to have a fully-functional GB-PVR (in its PVRX2 guise) up and running.
