Hi

So i have many MP3 stored that can play in MVP, however it would be nice to have some sort of "player" that will run on the MVP, i was thinking a plug in that pionts to a music store.

Ideas?
Many Thanks

Have you had a look at the list of plugins here.

It's already built in. First, go into the Directories tab of the Config application and set a pointer to your music folder. Then select Music Library from the menu in GBPVR and you can scroll through your MP3's.

There's also a plugin that adds more features, called MusicLibrary2, but it's been quite buggy the few times that I have tried to install and use it.

Yeah, thing is theres only 1 listed (MusicLibrary2), tried that didnt work (submitted support on that one).

Its good to see what others have used and thats the reason for the question.
Many Thanks

Yes i already know the music list in built in BUT this is so basic you cant see lengths or anything, however i have tried ML2 I have had the same issue, installed, crashed even before i selected it. I have submitted a support on that one.

However MusicBox looked ok but nothing on PVRX2 for that, all the others are unsupported now (according to wiki).
Many Thanks

That's odd, ML2 on the MVP is not unstable at all for me. I have great results and I am not alone based on this

I do make special effort to ensure that my music files are error free and well tagged which might be the source of your problem.

If you do need a music player actually running on the MVP, mvpmc does support SlimServer and it can also play music files natively, I use this exclusively for my FLAC collection, but ML2 seems every bit as good for playing mp3s.

I'm a big fan of ML2 - worth persisting with it... Wink
