What I wish to findout is how to be able to Start
PVRX2 with the Hauppauge Remote. What I wish to be
able to do is to have gbpvr start with the remote like you
can call wintv2000 with the go button on the remote.

Have can you if you can add PVRX2 to the GoMenu that
pop's up when you push the Go button on the remote.

Thank you

You can do this by edit the irremote.ini file, and specifying PVRX2.exe instead of WinTV.

I have looked in irremote.ini and I don't unstand were
inside of the config file that they call the wintv program.

I have read the file but can not find the call's to the
WinTv and WinTv2000 Exe files.

The patch worked ok in the last reply. It will let you start
Pbpvr with the Green Power Button on the Remote.

But it will not add pbpvr on PRVX2 to the gomenu/the
go button on the remote.

I scanned through the irremote.ini file for the wintv2k.exe
to replace it with PRVX2.exe and the file wintv2k.exe is not
in the config file.

But the patch for the green power button work's ok.

Thank you

I've never wanted to do that, so its not something I've looked into. Sorry, I've got no advice for you on that one.

I use HIP to learn the BIG GREEN button and have HIP open PVRX2 when it's pressed

it is great too if you lose focus and pressing the button will bring focus back

Find and open (or edit) Irremote.ini, which is located in windows folder. Go to section which starts with:
[Default]
Couple of lines below that you will see a line
GRNPOWER={sys(0xF060)}
Change it to:
GRNPOWER={run(..\devnz\gbpvr\pvrx2.exe)}

If your pvrx2 is in ..\program files\devnz\gbpvr\ folder, it should start PVRX2. You can choose and modify any key which is listed under [Default]. Once PVRX2 is executed the remote is reprogrammed to answer to the commands which are listed in Irremote.ini in [PVRX2] (which is all the way at the bottom of the Irremote.ini file.

Remember to restart the ir.exe after saving irremote.ini with all the new changes.

Sorry to hijack, but rob11252, would that also have the secondary function of bringing pvrx2 back into focus - sometimes my system sends it to the back for some reason - assuming it was already running?

Edit: Tried the steps above, unfortunately that doesn't start PVRX2 for me, nor did it bring it back into focus when it had lost it. When the software is running and in focus, pressing the green button gives the System menu, which I'm guessing is the F12 function overriding

try

GRNPOWER={run(c:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\pvrx2.exe)}

it brings pvrx2 back to foreground for me if it is already running.
