DVD Playback in 1.2.9

I've just installed 1.2.9 on a machine running win2000 with a dx8 video card and the klite codec pack installed. PVRX2 now works perfectly using overlay but I cant get iso files to play. I have daemontools installed and PVRX2 is mounting the image but it does not play anything back. It just exits to the main menu then displays a message saying the DVD player cannot display the sub picture. If I hit yes to continue I get a DVD player interface that looks as if its playing something but no image is displayed.

I'm lost, any ideas?

O.K. i figured it out. FFDShow, enable DVD decoding for mpeg2. However, how do I get the DVD player to launch in fullscreen? Bearing in mind I just have a clean win2000 install i.e. no PowerDVD etc. Its the first time I've ever seen the DVD player which is launched. Is it a Win2000 app? It has a fullscreen button but doesent seem to respond to keyboard inputs. Does anyone know if I'm gonna have to automate it with an external script? I have an autoit script launching PVRX2 but it seems a little "clunky" to have to detect the window and automate a mouse move and click. Any suggestions?
