Analog TV Viewing Problem

I have the Hauppage WinTV HVR-1250 tuner and been trying to get analog TV to work. I keep getting a blank screen for a few second then brings me back to the main menu. If I use the tuner assistant I can view all my analog channels, but not from the main menu. Here is the clip from my pvx2 log file.

Sorry, this device lacks the required hardware MPEG-2 encoder so isnt supported as an analog capture device in GB-PVR. You can use it for digital TV capture though (ATSC and ClearQAM).

Sorry, there is no built in support for using software encoders with these cards.

By the way, I was able to get this card (HVR-1250) to work in Analog mode.

All I had to do was the following:
1. Install the SoftMCE application from the Hauppauge Driver CD.
2. Place the following section into the direct.ini file:
