Vista and .net related crashes

Long story short. I have been using GBPVR for a long time, but my xp machine crashed, and I rebuild Vista, and loaded gbpvr with Visual Running Time, and .net framework 3.5 with service pack 1, but gbpvr keeps crashing. Since then, I have removed .net 3.5 framework, and have reinstalled Visual C++ couple of times, and fresh installation, but no luck.

Here is my setup. I have 2 Gig of Ram on AMD Socket 939 with AMD64 X2 dual core 4400 CPU, and two PVR-150 cards.

You might need to start config.exe with the Vista "run as administrator" option.

Ok. Let me try that. Do I need to install GBPVR as the administrator option as well? Do I still need the .net version of 3.5 or all I will need is Visual C++ runtime only?

Probably only the config app.

I'm pretty sure Vista already contains .net 2.0, so you shouldnt need to install an additional version of the .net runtime. You will need the vcredist_x86.exe though.

Ok. I did install C+ runtime, and I am configuring the gb as the administrator, and see what happens..

Nope. No go. I am starting PVRX2, and as I go to list the guides, it brings the bluescreen back, and pvrx2 hangs, and I had to close the app.

Try deleting the hidden "c:\users\<your account>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory, then running PVRX2.exe again.

Did you get that when you started the app with 'Run As Administrator'? You shouldnt have got the 'Access is denied' messages if you'd run as administrator as I suggested.

I did run the config as the administrator, and everything worked. When I tried to open the PVRX2 again gbpvr from the tray, it crashed.

I will try to delete what you have said in your earlier post when I get home later on today.
