PVR-150 dark and blurry

I have a PVR-150 and an HVR-1800 in one machine. Analog recordings on the 1800 are superb, but dark and blurry on the 150, as you can see below. I'm using the latest drivers from Hauppauge. I've tried using the hauppauge tweak tool, which can somewhat fix the darkness, but it never gets anywhere near the sharpness of the 1800. I've swapped the coax coming into the cards and it didn't make any difference. Is the 150 just that much more inferior or am I missing something?

Make sure your Bitrate (quality) is the same for both cards. Usually, the higher the bit rate, the better the quality. I'm seeing loss of resolution on the PVR-150, which could be lower bit rate, but I'm guessing the HVR-1800 is just a better card, since it is designed for the digital data stream.
