Choppy Playback

I've got a Hauppauage 1600 and a 1.2 GHz processor on Windows XP Pro. I can watch live tv fine with the software that came with the tuner (WinTV), but gbpvr gives me choppy video that is out of sync with the sound (the sound is not choppy). The CPU is almost 100% in gbpvr. I've tried all combinations of Decoders and Renders that are in the dropdowns but still no luck. Is there something else I can or need to change?

That CPU would probably be marginal for any HD channels. Pretty much all you can do is try to find a combination of decoders and renderers that work well enough. If they decoders that are there dont work well enough, you may need to try installing others. You may also need to try to make sure you getting some sort of hardware acceleration from your video card.
