Strang Problem popcorn screen goes blank after two epg changes

Hi Folks
I have installed the new gbpvr and everything works fine. The only problem is when I go through the tv guide and watch a certain channel for a couple of hours. After 2 shows the screen goes black and does not come back. It looks like it is still recording on the computer.
eg. I watch one program at near the end of it, it stops and then comes back on again (about 3 seconds) So I say that is the padding. All works well, But when the next program gets to the end it stop as normal but does not come back.

Since you auto start two MVP servers, nothing is showing in the logs. Set AutoStart to 1 and duplicate the test.

Thanks for the quick reply! I hope things are well at your end.
Ok I changed mvp servers to 1 and put the tv on while I had a shower. I came out and the screen was black. The computer was still recording.

Thanks dave.t I see exactly the same thing after two shows end. I think this is something for sub to look into, he can probably reproduce it or see it your logs what is missing. The file did start playing when I hit the pause play combo a few times to kickstart GBPVR into sending a play command.

So does that mean I cane get it back up by hitting pause and play. I will give it a try tonight.

Unfortunately I'm really snowed under with my day job at the moment, otherwise I'd look into this. If you dont hear back from me in a few days, try bumping the thread again.

same here....although i get this on main machine too...transitions between timeshift programs is a bit hit and miss...the longer it plays, the more likely it is to happen...
only very rarely will i be able to get it to play using repeated play/pause keys...

the file records and there is nothing wrong with new file...it just doesn't switch to playing it..
digital or analog,same..

i do notice several plugin errors in your logs...callerid and ml2.....
might wanna clean those up to help diagnose...
[tho they might be normal on a nmt client]
i didn't see any errors in my logs..
will reproduce and post them..

I cleaned up the errors but the same problem this morning. After the second EPG change the screens goes black but still records on the pc.
