I've added and played around with a few plugins and although I have no problems with the use of the program (it records fine) it is now taking 1 minute and 5 secs to start up.

Sub, if you have a few minutes, can you please check my config file and see what might be slowing this down?
Thanks

Paul

I noticed a slow down after installing a skin/apps. Checked CPU usage which showed 100%, of which the GBPVR processes and McAffee AV were the culprits. It started after I started using the Street skin. As soon as I changed back to blue the machine went back to 98% idle. The same thing happened after I installed the video archiver app. I probably should have let it go awhile on the VA just to see if it ever came back down but my wife needed to use the pc so I removed it. My next step is to disable McAffee and see if it behaves correctly. Sure does work sweet on the blue skin though [Image: biggrin.gif]

Well, I don't have the street skin and use Norton but I have tried disabling Norton and still noticed no change. At least the program is working.

Have you brought up the task manager and checked for CPU usage? I'm running an old 800 Intel with 512mb memory and normally my idle time is around 98% which shows up at the top of the list when sorted. When I brought up task manager and it wasn't there I knew something wasn't right. I'm seeing anywhere from the low/mid 90's to 98% idle while watching Live TV via one MVP and playing a recording on my second MVP simultaneously. I'm also only seeing around 2.5% network utilization in task manager (100mb full duplex). Unfortunately it's a cheap switch and doesn't allow me to span ports so I can't check it with the Sniffer to confirm. It's really pretty surprising how little resource this software takes.

Yeah, I have. It starts at 18% and for most of the minute it takes to start, it averages 4-5%. Only when it finally hits the screen does it go to 48%. I think that's about what it had been when it was booting up faster.
