Anyone know what "alphaFade" does?

Code:
<Element name="ListSelectionMetaData" location="0,21.45" size="61.8,69.1" alpha="255" alphaFade="true">

I'm also experimenting with the meta tags. Text for now (because it's "easy"), but maybe little images would look better (although it would be a massive pain finding/creating them).

No prizes for guessing the film...

Gotta be Avatar

Also, I might be able to dig up some images for you. I'll see what I can find.

That's sexy.

In my experience, using Ember to retrieve fanart, lots of stuff doesn't have full 1080 images. If possible, you might want to have it scale the image to the screen resolution but not stretch it. In your example above, it wouldn't stretch the fan art to fit the missing gaps, rather it would "zoom" to cover the missing parts, so you'd lose some of the image on the left/right to keep things looking right.

OK, thanks. Must be a Hairy left-over then. Perhaps GBPVR used it and it hitched a ride on a wayward cut and paste.

Yep, that's an idea. It would look a bit strange if people were using portrait (rather than landscape) images for their fanart, but then that's their problem for being weird Smile

True, depending on how many options you want to add into the plug-in, you could always let the user decide just like Windows' wallpaper e.g. Stretch, Fill, Fit, Tile or Center.

Iain,

Heres some images that you can try. Most are not too fancy (just text in a png) but are at least a start. I'm also not too sure about copyright restrictions with some of these.

Yeah, I'd always be a bit worried about that. Thanks for looking.

The text ones are growing on me though, and they're certainly a lot easier to program, as well as avoiding anything copyright related. I might see if I can add support for both, then it could be up to the skin authors to decide how they want to do it.

You could also treat it the way sub treats channel logos, if they are available, they'll be used, otherwise text labels. That lets the users find them where they may and leaves you and the plugin out of it. Smile
