I was on earlier and setup username and password at the office. I am home now and wanted to log in with new credentials (that was on office computer). Failed
Tried logging in with admin/password FAILED

I cant access NextPVR at home from login screen with any credentials. Is there something the server marks an IP address so it cant connect after a few failed attempts???

Just trying to get to NextPVR set up at home now and would like to have access to the recorded shows while at the office too. But I first installed it all at office which still connects with
new user name and password I made. But when I use the same credentials at the house FAIL ACCESS everytime.

Thank you

well I unistalled the NextPVR at home and deleted everything and reinstalled it and could log in to admin/password. I then changed all the data to office log in and now the computer at home is set up as local server. Not sure how to connect the office computer to the home one to watch recordings but atleast the more powerful home computer is the main one now.

There is a limited on login attempts.

This is why you need to use admin and login to test, users often  forget the changed username and password.  Did you confirm the new username and password before trying remotely?  If so there are a lots of things involved in remote access, firewalls, port forwarding, router rules etc that are beyond the scope of this forum.

When you setup a user/password combination, it is specific to the machine that you are using (i.e. your home machine and office machine are completely separate independent entities).
Your user/password credentials are not stored anywhere externally, but locally on each NPVR server. Hence your two machines could have different user/password combinations

You can use a browser to access either machine remotely provided you have setup a non default user/password combination on that machine and put a tick in the "Allow Remote Access" box in the NPVR Access setup page.

Remote access is conditional on the router/firewall at the remote location allowing traffic from an external source through to the relevant port and IP address of the NPVR server. (Most routers/firewalls would not do this by default and would require specific port forwarding rules to be defined in the firewall). Alternatively a VPN connection to the remote location may avoid the need to setup port forwarding rules.
If you haven't setup the firewall at your office it most likely would be the cause of blocking access to your office NPVR server.

Details for setting up firewall rules or a VPN are not really in the scope of this forum.

You would not normally have any direct connection between your home & office NPVR systems.
