Anyone know how to set the zip code for the weather plugin without using the config program? I ask because when I select the weather plugin in the config program, I get an error. If anyone has any info on this, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!!

Exactly the same error when I click settings of the weather plugin, this is the error log

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I dont know what the answer is, but am curious what verison you're running? There was an update to the weather plugin in the last few days by one of the other forum members.

Also where in the world are you located?

(v2.04, 24 Sept 2004)

It's one from the plugin section of this site, so I guess it's the latest... isn't there an xml file so I can change the country code postal code by hand?

I guess its my fault, as I sent the latest update to sub,

and its undoubtly due to my lack of knowledge about using .net progamming things

I had the previous version already installed

what I did was edit the previous version source with my amendments and press the build button in the sharp ide program.

overwriting my installed weatherplugin.dll, once I was happy I the simply replaced the dll in the previous zip file with my newly compiled one, as I thought that was all I needed to do as the code works on my machine.

I have just tried changing the zipcode for weather and I get the same error.

If someone can tell me what I need to do to produce a correct new version I'll sort it out staright away.

I have made some changes to the jukebox plugin as well using the same method, but that seems to be okay if I change things in the config screen

Sorry folks I knew the coding changes but obviously not the method.

As I said if someone can explain I'll soon sort it

No problem, these things happen. I'll try and take a look after work.

For the last couple of weeks my day job has me working 10 hour days, 7 days a week - so I've not really been finding much GB-PVR time (other than responding to the occasional website post). This project is due for completion in about of week, so things should settle down soon.
