Ok. I've searched and read several threads about simular problems but nothing recent.... Here my problem: I have just added a second card to my system and I'm having a recording problem. The first device is on cable and the second is on a sat dish. Live TV works great. IE. I pick channal 3 from cable and it picks up the correct card to record it. I pick channel 200 and it picks up the other device and again it works great. Now when I'm trying to record (not livetv) something off cable (channel 3) but it's trying to record it off the wrong device.

Device 1 - PVR150MCE
Device 2 - PVR350

Anyone have any ideas why livetv works but recording does not? I'm using the latest version of GBPVR (94.13)

Thanks

Can you try to dedicate all analog channels to your PVR350 and all digital channels to your PVR150? That way the ir blaster will not be confused which capture card made the channel changes and won't screw up during the recordings.

Are '200' and '3' the same channel?

Nope. 3 and 200 are different channels. Channel 3 done not even exist on the sat dish. Only on cable.

replaytv: HUmmmm I don't have a ir blaster on the system. I'm using a USBUIRT to change channels on the sat box. The built in ir on 350 no longer works on the 350 since I put in the 150MCE. I'm using a keyboard until I find a new remote thing.

What are the names of these channels?

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs?

Here you go... I went in to my guide and found something that was currently playing on one of the cable station. I told it to record now and it changed channels on the sat box and started to record that one (which is not a valid channel). It should have switch over the the second card and recorded that channel instead.

In your log files, you selected to record 'Andromeda' on CHCH. GB-PVR then when through the capture source list (from top to bottom) looking for one that had the CHCH channel, and was available. It stopped at your first capture source (PVR350) because had CHCH listed as one of its channel sources. This capture source was setup to use a USB-UIRT, so it used to send '12' to whatever external box you have.

In summary both of your capture sources have the CHCH channel, so GB-PVR just picked one and used it. Is this not correct in your understanding?
