I finally replaced my XP HTPC with a Win7 machine with 16gig of RAM and NPVR loaded on it. After some troubleshooting, I found out that my PVR-150 won't work on a PC with more than 4gig of RAM. Since I still need analog recording, I'm looking for a reasonably-priced card (PCI , PCIe or USB) with decent picture quality. Combo NTSC/ATSC cards aren't needed because I've already got two HDHomeruns.

New to NextPVR
- just trying out nextpvr (looks good) in windows7 as possible replacement for media centre (which will be missing in windows 10) for live tv playback
NextPVR seems to work fine with HDHome run/SB xifi for sd stations (stereo) all ok
One problem is that on high def stations I am not getting any sound (eg Aus ABC News 24)
In MS media centre (where sound works) it says these channels are Dolby surround
Am I missing a codec perhaps/wrong decoder ?
I just recently got my NextPVR/Raspberry Pi setup and functional. I've made some test recordings. A few from the NextPVR server, and a few from the client it's self. It doesn't matter from which I schedule the recording, the recordings don't show up in the list on my client, unless I reboot the Pi. Is there a setting I need to tweak in order to get the recordings to show?
I have just setup NPVR, but when I try to watch Live TV , I get audio but a black screen, same when I try to watch a recording.
When installing Kodi or similar, does this intergrate into NPVR or do I have to do it manually, how is this done?

I'm new to NextPVR and upon visiting the forums to find out why my "Program Guide" is empty, I discovered I need to install an "Add On". But nowhere am I finding a link to download any add ons, and Google turns up only a single Wiki entry to an add on called "Kodi" that has nothing to do with the EPS.
Is there a list of d/l links to compatible Add-ons for NextPVR? If it's built in, I'm not seeing it.
I have run into a problem using the web interface to record a show.
I search for TMZ and find the show.
I then select M-F any channel and add the recording.
However when I look on the desktop interface I see Advanced Rules: title like 'TMZ%'
Then in the pending I see TMZ and "TMZ Live", I don't want the "TMZ Live" shows, so I remove the % from the Advanced Rules but then there are no TMZ shows in pending anymore.
It used to work, I have removed the wildcard in the past (in the previous version, 3.2 I think), but now it does not seem to work anymore.
How do I get TMZ and not TMZ Live?
In addition I did attempt to export the recordings to an .xml remove all shows except TMZ modify it in the XML and re-import it back in.
I tried several variations on the .xml and the recurring.xml gets imported and I see the show, but I did not get any pending TMZs.
Schedules Direct sent me an email indicating the API NPVR is using is being phased out (email follows):

API. Because the old API had a max of 13 days of data, sometime in the
next few days you will have no schedule data remaining.

be going end of life on 2015-04-17, and by now should have updated
their software to use the new servers.
for the end-of-life notification, and please contact your developer if
you need instructions on how to switch your grabber / update your
software to use the new API.
