I'm working on setting up a new recording PC and will retire the old unit into a playback only function. As I had the chance to have NPVR up on both units simultaneously, I noticed the EPG on the old PC hadn't been updated. The last day of program guide visible is the same as when I started the project about a week ago. So, at this point, i have only 5 days of EPG visible. I've tried numerous manual EPG updates, including empty and update. My SD account is active and working fine on the new PC. Can someone take a look at my logs and tell me what might have gone wrong?
Seems like after this error my system went dead (I could not access it remote or direct...but was running) and had to power-off and back on.... It appears the recording ran for 15min or so then it stopped logging as well.... but nrecord.log was done after this error.

Since building a new htpc I have not been able to connect to it using NEWA or the gadget. The strange thing is that I don't see a Web.log in the logs directory. I have downloaded the latest installer, copied database and config file from the old installation where it worked and even copied the whole .\web directory from my testrig where newa works just fine, but no joy. Am I missing something very basic here??
I'm currently playing with a very cheap windows 8.1 tablet (Linx 7 - Amazon.co.uk £59.99) as a NPVR client. Currently connected to the TV via a micro HDMi cable with a HP MCE remote receiver on the USB port via the included USB OTG dongle. Connectivity is currently via WiFi.
Performance so far is very good with only a slight delay loading the EPG to show its running on such low end hardware and it looks like this will make a very nice bedroom client as it is completely silent.
The only remaining challenges are to find a way to charge the tablet whilst using the USB port (which is also used to charge the tablet) - have a four Port OTG charge cable on order from eBay and may play with a USB-Ethernet adapter as well to improve throughput (mainly for Plex HD streams).
Over the past couple of days I've been experiencing odd behavior on one Mux only (UK, Hemel Hempstead Transmitter, C50-706Mhz). Recordings complete correctly but will not play back (either on server or client), resulting in a black screen that returns back to the recordings screen after a few seconds. The file appears to be fine, running it through video editing programs shows the content as expected.
All channels on the same Multiplex are showing the same issue, the other three multiplexes available are working fine and as expected which seems to eliminate a codec issue (All multiplexes are Standard Definition MPEG2). I've tried with two different tuners and see the same problem. My TV is able to tune and display the channels in question as expected. I've attempted a re-tune in NextPvr and a full cold reboot plus checked the signal strength.
I've attached log files for a recording of a 17s second sample from one of the affected channels (started recording from EPG, then cancelled 17seconds later) and the resulting .ts file (4.5MB) can be found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0lgyJW...sp=sharing
I'm at a bit of a loss and any help would be gratefully received!
Can someone point me to a DIY kit or ready-build antenna amplifier wich can deliver a constant output level independent of the input signal strength? The problem is that my cable provider delivers signal with varying gain so I have to adjust my amplifiers almost every day in order to get the correct signal level to my computer tuners. I' prefer a DIY kit/construction since electronics is my hobby and I'm capable of building such an amplifier myself given the construction details.
Before you ask, yes, I have searched the forums! After doing so, I realize my problem is not unique, but unfortunately I seem to be incapable of solving it on my own so am hoping someone on here can help!
Setup: Windows 7, HD Homerun through digital antenna, NPVR, (XBMC/Kodi - but problem starts even without loading XBMC)
No Audio and no Video in NPVR when I click "LIVE TV" (just see black screen). Live TV and EPG works fine from within the HD Homerun 'View" app. I can also view manually created .strm files from within XBMC, but when i try through "Live TV" I just get spinning circle.
I've added NRECORD.exe nextpvr.exe and NDigitalhost.exe to my firewall exceptions, and have tried with firewall completely disabled. I also have Avast firewall, but have tried with Avast completely disabled as well.
Log files are attached.
Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. Thanks!
I've done quite a bit of searching and attempted setups, and still have not found a viable front end for watching live tv on the fire stick. I have several claimed solutions, but none are really usable. I have 3 fire sticks powering various TVs throughout the house, and would like to avoid buying YAD (yet another device) for each TV if possible.
What do you have set up for a front end on a fire stick?
What settings do you use to minimize lag (EPG settings, etc)?
How can you diagnose problems to determine if they are wifi network or NPVR or device?
in the settings section of nextpvr, is there a way to search for the channel by name when renumbering them.... I have about 400 channels in teh list, but I have to scroll up and down to find the right one... the sort by name etc. when clicking table headers doesn't seem to do anything... a filter box to start typing channel name in would be really useful.... for me at least! ;-)
Cheers,
john
I was considering getting a TBSDTV quad tuner DVB-T2 card.
but their website only seems to mention S2 cards ... anyone know if they've stopped doing Terrestrial cards?
Is there an alternative quad T2 tuner anyone can recommend?
