Greetings, I noticed that a day or so after my new NextPVR install all the TV Guide data went to (no show det). I see that if I manually update EPG through the channels menu it will populate again.
Now I notice some people in the forums talking about using Schedules Direct so this is leading me to believe there is no auto update method for the built-in Tv Guide EPG? Am I correct or can someone set me straight on the whole EPG situation?
I think this isn't possible, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. I still have the issue where not all of my SD channels are found in the scan of my Ceton device. Since all of my HD channels are found, I haven't put much effort into getting it resolved. One of the things I did do was look at the channel mapping page of the device after finding out about it on these forums. While there, I noticed that just like my QAM device, the various channels are distributed across many frequencies on this device. I'd assume the same frequencies, but obviously more channels over more frequencies. I wondered if say Comedy Central and Nickelodean share the same frequency, if I recorded both channels, would it use the same tuner like QAM does. The answer was no.
So, my wishlist is that if it is possible, support multiple stations that share the same frequency on a CableCard device being able to share a tuner.
FYI - I am loving that I can record the full padding for adjacent shows on the same channel using a single tuner.
Not so long ago I build a new htpc with an Athlon A10 4.4GHz cpu and a 4Tb raid array, this gives me enough space and power to do all processing (comskip, srt extraction etc), so I really want to keep this computer as my htpc. But unfortunately this new motherboard does not handle my USB tuners well. The tuners work for a while and delivers data but then stops. This hangs NDigitalHost process which in turn freezes the recording service and I miss recordings, epg update etc and have all sorts of problems. I have tried both usb3 and usb2 connectors, usb3- and usb2-hubs (powered and unpowered) cross connected in every combination but no luck. The tuners works excellent on my other computers so they are ok.
So, I had the idea of putting all the usb tuners on a "spare" computers which is mostly used for email and occational Solitaire games (and very rarely browsing men's websites ), and let this computer feed the data to my htpc via the IPTV device. Can the iptv device handle multiple channel requests and stream from several tuners on the remote computer?
I've got mine working with Win10 x64, but I've got this strange issue where I can't seem to get to the Ceton diagnostics webpage.
- I have a Ceton network connection at 192.168.200.2
- I can ping the actual Ceton card which is at 192.168.200.1
- But if I go to http://192.168.200.1, I just get "cant reach this page"
Now if I swap back my old hard drive and boot back into Win7, I get all these same IPs and I can get to the diagnostics site at http://192.168.200.1.
If anyone has a similar Win10 setup, can you check to see if you can get to http://192.168.200.1 ?
I'm getting this error when trying to setup SD. I see some other posts out there that describe similar issues, but they talk about patches which I think are probably outdated. (I have a fresh install with latest version)
