Hi - just bought a HDHomerun device in the UK - the channel listing within the homerun device web page is correct, however when Nextpvr scans for the channels, the channels are not ordered correctly and do not match the order they appear on the homerun device. Is this a known issue or a feature?
I just installed NextPVR and I'm trying to scan for new channels. It finds 118 channels (by my count) then suddenly crashes at the very end (no error message other than a Windows message reporting "NPVR has stopped working.")
Windows 7 Home 64bit.
K-World USB ATSC tuner stick.
NPVR detects the tuner and attempts a scan. It finds plenty of channels, but after hitting frequency 69, the program spontaneously "stops working" for no apparent reason.
I have disabled my AV software (Avast) and run the program as Admin. Version 3.4.8 of NPVR downloaded from this site.
It seems that if I am watching Live TV on a client PC, then put the client PC to sleep while live TV is playing, then later wake the PC, NPVR freezes most of the time.
After waking the PC, I either get a black screen or the Guide is displayed. If the guide is displayed, sometimes I can resume watching LiveTV, but most of the time the guide freezes. In order to recover from this "freeze" is to shutdown, then restart NPVR on the client.
Is this the expected behavior of NPVR in this scenario?
Hi everyone. I was wondering if I could have the NextPvr to recording a specific tv show to a different partition than the default partition. For example, I would like "Friends" to record to the D partition instead of the C partition. All the other tv shows would record to the main partition, except "Friends". Can that be done? Any assistance will be helpful. Thank you. sister5091
Are there step by step directions available for setting up (configuring) nextPVR with a Hauppauge Colossus? Please post the link.
Presently, I use the Colossus (the old one) with WMC and Windows 7. My source is DirecTV using the component outs. Also, I use Videoredo to make DVD's.
For me neither the "OK" and "Back" key work although there are others which makes the remote control useless so had to revert to the latest V5 OpenElec. It does seem to be a known if random OpenElec problem as people reported problems with 5.95.1 and its still there in 5.95.2.
I'm using the latest version of NPVR and now I can't watch live TV. I get the message "Unable to find available capture device". I'm using an August DVB-T210 v2. I can scan, I get channels, and I can update and view the EPG -- the channels just won't play.
I have a weird issue. When I playback a recording, it immediately skips to the end after a few seconds of black screen with no audio, and says it was watched to completion. However, if I press watch and then stop it after a second, I can select resume from the menu and it plays fine. I am using the main concept decoder from my Hauppauge tuner for mpeg2 and MS for h264. I have installed and tried ffdshow and lav, but they do the same. I don't have any other decoders available. The videos play fine in VLC. Any ideas?
Hey I've got FreeNAS going with all my content and have the Emby plugin which works fine.
Emby supports live TV, but I was told my Ceton 6 Eth device would only be supported by NextPVR.
Problem I have is the plugin for NextPVR asks only for these fields:
NextPVR base URL as http://{hostname}:{port}
-and-
NextPVR pin which is set to 0000
Problem is I have no idea what to put into the base URL:port as I've tried my Ceton's IP address to no luck and tried a tuner's RPC IP address:port with no luck too.
