Hi, I'm getting regular lock ups of the plugin. It usually seems to be when scrolling a list (EPG, or search menu both do it).
XBMC is still alive in the background but XNEWA stays stuck on the same screen and won't accept input.
Hi,
Using EPG Collector for NZ XMLTV listings Sat 28th from 1400 till 0200 Sunday there is a +1hr error.
Beware if you have any scheduled recordings during that timespan.
Happens every DST time change and next updates are correct after times affected.
Also installed is TV Listings plugin.
Cheers
Waynesm
Anyone else having problems with the Colossus IR Blaster - When it works its great but mine has twice now gone goodnight and the Blaster Configuration utility indicates the hardware isn't present. Last time I ended up having to run HWCLEAR and reinstall drivers - Bit of a pain as I have 4 hauppauge cards in the machine to reconfigure.
This time I noticed my STB recordings were on the wrong channel so took a look and found its not working again (And this is not a NPVR issue - Its a Hauppauge one but I figure I'll get more luck here than the Hauppauge forums) - I then also noticed my two NOVA-T-500 cards had yellow exclamation marks in device manager and were showing as "Hauppauge FW Downloader" or similar (certain on the FW Downloader bit) - Uninstalled and reinstalled them with the latest drivers and they started working again but the IR Blaster is still no go - I have a USB Blaster from a hauppauge MCE set which I might have to switch to, do they work with Haupblast.exe too or will I need third party software (Hip or something) to get it to go?
I suspect its an issue with too many dissimilar Hauppauge devices in one machine - I have 1 x colossus, 2 x Nova-T-500's and 1 x HVR-2250 - I might drop one of the NOVA-T's out as with NPVR's excellence ability to record multiple channels off the same transponder I think four physical tuners will be plenty.
I have audio renderer set to default and all audio decoders set to LAV Audio Decoder. I've altered just about every LAV option I can think of on AC3 decoder to try to get the audio to play to no avail.
Channel has two audios so I know streams are present - although I don't know how with nPVR you are supposed to be able to select between them (no check mark present indicating which one is currently selected).
I have VIA HD audio chipset that is working just fine.
Anyone have any suggestions? Any ideas what the actual settings on the LAV Audio Decoder property tabs should be for AC-3? Any way to get more details from the audio stream itself?
just discovered the cloud!!! How are people using stuff like Google Drive on their htpc setup? I'm thinking of backing up my npvr settings and directories.
How do I exit the XNEWA plugin? ESC, home, back and stop (seem to have no action from the main menu. I can only seem to get back to XBMC by running it over the top of XNEWA (i.e by pressing e to bring up the epg) and then clicking on the home button with a mouse.
I hadn't quite understood from the description exactly what this did, but it looks like I'm basically running NPVR within XBMC, or at least looking at NPVR running on the server (?).
Anyway the scheduling of programs via XBMC is basically non existent, so this looks like a solution to the missed programs I've had since moving from an NPVR front end to XBMC.
So the actual question is; are there any limitations to XNEWA compared to running a full NPVR client, or are they basically identical as far as functionality?
Hi!
Quick one... I have both freesat and freeview coming into my npvr box.... the priority is set to use the satellite by default... just wondering if there's any difference in quality between the channels broadcast on each... i.e is bbc1 HD exactly the same on freesat and freeview or is the quality slightly different?
So you can picture the scene, I'm sure... I set a series to record any NEW episodes on a channel and it works absolutely great!
Wife comes along and decides she's going to do the same.... and again!!! (assuming she forgot she'd already done it)
I have three tuners, so as requested npvr records 3 copies of the same thing - totally understandable! It used up all the tuners and I then couldn't watch / record something else.... any way of making the subsequent requests to record the same thing automatically ignore themselves!?!?!? I have ticked the prevent duplicate recordings bit in npvr settings, but I guess this is slightly different.
