I've put a post out on the nDroid (TE) Beta Testers Google Group but just to follow through in case anybody doesn't get an email from the group...
I've just uploaded v2.1 of the nDroid Service to my web server and I'm about to upload v2.1 of the nDroid (TE) app to the Google Play Beta testers group.
Install the service before updating the app - it will work with current release versions of nDroid and nDroid (TE).
Some known issues...
Ignore the "Video Test" in the options menu - I was going to take it out but as this is a closed Beta group I figured I could just warn you that it won't work for you.
Feel free to try out SSDP Search - it will be buried in the code for the next release (rather than being a menu option). It's meant to help with discovering nDroid Services on a WLAN. If you don't get a search response then let me know.
I've added FTS3 (Fast Text Search) ability into TE but the search results won't do anything yet. Just test the search dropdown works with the magnifying glass icon and you get a result popup.
If you start from a fresh install, ignore the "Cancel Download" button...it doesn't do anything and will be removed for the public release.
Changes...
Tidied up the Action Bar options menu (right hand side on a tablet) so they don't duplicate things. In other words if you're in the TV Guide view it won't show "TV Guide" in the options menu. Similarly, if you switch to "Recordings" it'll show "TV Guide" but not "Recordings" etc etc
Extra work to add a Navigation Drawer for options on phones (touch the < part of the nDroid (TE) title on the Action Bar).
Added multiple transcode settings for Live TV / Recordings.
Added "press to play" live TV in the channel list
Changes to Now/Next to show start/end times.
Change to All timeslots to exclude programmes marked as "Close" (I'll possibly add an option to exclude "Teleshopping" also. )
Fixed problem with playback from "Recordings". NOTE: trying anything in "Recurring" or "Pending" views still won't work - I'm currently waiting on UJB to finalise some stuff with the new NEWA services.
Fixed problem where incorrect network details (IP address for instance) would cause infinite download spinning circle.
I've read bunch of posts about black screen, tried different decoders and no luck. My setup Windows 8.1, and HDHomeRun (the old gray one (gen2?) running on wifi) I am able to playback programs in VLC player just fine from HDHomeRun GUI and it shows decent network rate which is shown in HDHomeRun setup (8 Mbps). I configured in NextPVR and see all channels, but whenever I try to watch any channel Network Rate drops to 0.2Mbps and NextPVR interface becomes sluggish and just shows black screen. Any idea what could be an issue here? Is my HDHomeRun not supported or is WiFi & NextPVR don't go along?
Since I upgraded to 3.1.1 R1, I notice that while watching a recording, during other recording, if I delete many recordings, playback freeze a fraction of a second than catch up.
Today while deleting 25GB recordings, playback froze for about 2-3+ seconds each time.
I never noticed that behaviour with 2.6.2 or before.
That is more annoying than a problem, but maybe something change in 3.1.1
Win7 x64, 7200RPM Disk defragmented every other day.

I am having a similar problem with sound not working. I tried installing the AC3Filter codec, but still no sound.
I'm using WINTV HVR 950.
Sound works with WinTV software.
Tried a bunch of different codec options in the settings.
The part that confuses me the most is that in the Windows Volume Mixer, it shows a green bar indicating sound is being recognized, but I cannot hear anything from the app, although I can hear other noises if I click one of the different sliders.
Thank you in advance for your help, and sorry for being a newb. :-)
I'm running Frodo 12.3 on an Android GBOX Midnight MX2 box with NPVR on my Win7 machine. I am using the native XBMC Live Tv 'app' as I am unable to get XNEWA add on to open. I have timeshift turned on.
I can watch live tv fine and I can also pause/unpause. I cannot, however, rewind and/or fast forward to current time on live tv. I attempt to rewind but the video continues to play forward but at a slower speed. I then have to fast forward a bit, the video pauses, and then I'm back to current time live tv.
I've also noticed that when I pause live tv that the current time I'm at continues to tick one second forward while paused. I would think that this would not move as it would indicate where you are in the program. I'm not sure if this is clear so I'll give an example. I am watching a 60 minute program and I am at the 20 minute mark. I've I pause, the OSD shows ' 20:00 / 60:00' .. The time, while paused, ticks up to 20:01, 20:02,20:03, etc.
I have no logs to bring to the table, but I am wondering if anyone has seen this before?
Iâm late to the game on discovering the awesomeness of XBMC. My current setup is using PCH A-100 as a client for NextPVR. What are my options (if any) for getting XBMC on my PCH A-100? Thanks.
If you don't have WebRadio installed yet you will have to install Web Radio 3.7 followed by the AddOn pack before overwriting the 2 folders - as detailed in the Wiki.
As Web Radio hasn't been updated for a while there are a few things you must do - see this post for details http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ital-radio Most important are the GBPVR registry entry and installing VLC version 2.08 and no higher.
I have used MPEG Streamclip to cut hunks out of my recordings for years but it just barfs on my recordings with NextPVR from DVB-T & I assume it's the HE-AAC audio that it doesn't like......, I have spent a couple of hours today trying to find something simple (& free) to do the same job MPEG Streamclip does but there was nothing I looked at that seemed to jump out & say it would do the job... does anyone have any recommendations??
Hi, I signed up and got the instructions on how to connect my day-old 55f6400 yesterday. It wouldn't let me put in a password but seemed to log in successfully as 'develop' without one. I put in the IP address and clicked to ry-sync my apps. The message I got at that point was something like 'server not found' or 'no response from server' (sorry I'm at work and didn't take a pic of the exact message). It kind of looked like the IP was wrong, but it did match the one from the instructions. The TV is connected to the internet fine.
