Scanned Astra 19.2E, full, not "german" only. Still cannot see certain station like most HD publich channels, arte HD, 3sat HD, Das Erste HD etc. others like ZDF HD are there, so in general it's working, but not fully.
Pointers appreciated. My other HTPC box scanned with the same dish/quadLNB, got them all.
I did an upgrade to 3.11 R1 a and now NextPVR no longer responds to IR commands. The mouse and keyboard still work. Nothing else has changed on the system.
I use a Harmony remote and Intelliremote software to control things. This has always worked and it still works for everything else (Plex, MediaBrowser, etc). I can have NextPVR in a window and Intelliremote in a window - I can see the IR commands get being received but NPVR isn't doing anything with them. I've unchecked/restarted/checked/restarted telling NPVR to handle MCE remote events.
Recently I installed Windows 8.1 64 bit Pro with Media Center on my Desktop Computer.
Little did I know, in doing so - I would discover the Windows Media Center for Windows 8.1 has the following problems with my Diamond TVW750USB ATI Theater HD 750 USB TV Tuner:
1. It cannot find approx. 40% of the QAM stations available with my Time Warner basic TV cable connection.
2. The analog stations break up about every other second.
Unfortunately, the only resolution MS has provided was to reinstall Windows 7 on my computer.
Since then, I installed the Totalmedia 3.5 program that came with the DVD that was included with my TV Tuner. But, while it does work well, I have discovered it capabilities is extremely limited. Not to mention, the program is over 5 years old and is no longer supported. ... I also discovered any TV shows recorded (which in does in mpg format) can only be played in Totalmedia.
In contacting Diamond support - they recommended installing NextPVR. They told me your program works quite well with this tuner.
However, I am a non-techie type of person. ... The more simple something is to use, the better I usually like it.
In reviewing the instructions I have be able to locate - it seems getting live tv to work with my tuner card is a complex ordeal.
Could someone please explain to me in simplified terms how to set up Nextpvr so I could utilize both the digital and analog tuners on my Diamond TVW750USB ATI Theater HD 750 USB TV Tuner?
I've got a new home server and it's running 2012 R2 Standard. I'm working on migrating everything from my desktop up to the new server and I hit a snag with nDroid. I'm unable to start the service.

Well, it happened again last night, except this time the culprit was an analog recording from my HVR-2250 card. Same symptoms as before, with an "Unhandled Exception" popup from npvr.exe. I checked NPVR.log and found evidence similar to that reported before.

Again, I'm running NPVR v3.1.1 on a HTPC with XP SP3 and all current updates. Let me know if I can extract anything else helpful to the fix.
I read several of the post and did not see anything to help. All my recording are failing due to "Recording service not running at recording time". Logs attached.
Thanks in advance.
Trying NextPVR for first time, so sorry if not a logic question.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object - when trying to access Live TV
I'm getting the same error, when trying to access live TV.
When I hit continue the error keeps popping up.And I have to use the task manager to end it.
Got no problem with the skin line in the XML, all other options in main menu works ok ...
No extra plugins too
.Net framework is ok to ....
I attach log file.
This is the detail of the error
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I've installed 3.1.1 and the latest roll-up fixes - but I'm still worse off than I was with the previous stable version. Problems I still have with this version include:
1. Recording service stays on after waking up - recording nothing to /dev/nullxxxxx.ts. This problem was once fixed but has returned.
2. PVR refuses to sleep except if I reboot. I can't find what's keeping it awake. Stopping services etc makes no difference so I think it may be keeping a file open, or something like that.
3. Failed recordings - NPVR missed at least four recordings over the Christmas period, to the point where I now cannot be certain whether it will record. This is probably a consequence of the above.
Now WAF is low and patience is wearing thin.
Of course, I don't discount the possibility that this is a user error - I've installed the YouTube plugin for example - but how likely is that this is causing the problems?
I've been a user and commenter here for years so I understand the limited dev resources available etc - but wtf is going on?
Am I the only one? And do I have a plan B - ie can I revert to the previous version?
When I set up my DCR last time I deleted 1 of the channels that I would like to record, is there a way to add that channel with out redoing all the channels? I'm on comcast cable and only 100 or so of the 1100 that the DCR finds are in my package so a total redo with deleting and remapping and figuring out which channel matches what in the epg is a huge job.
