  Rewind not working in playback?
Posted by: baj1 - 2013-04-07, 07:14 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Is Rewind/Short skip backwards still CTRL-D on the keyboard? I think this use to work, but I didn't use NPVR on the server PC that often. It's not working right now. Interestingly enough, the rewind button works fine on my PCH's.

Thanks,
-Brad

  Streaming in 2.6.2 Check
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2013-04-07, 06:46 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

sub... did the below change in 2.6.2?

UncleJohnsBand Wrote:For the View Now you need to set the config setting in the config.xml (not config-web.xml as this stream comes from NPVR and not NEWA).....

<AllowRemoteStreaming>false</AllowRemoteStreaming>
ManicsMan Wrote:UncleJohnsBand,
This setting now seems to have no effect since the latest NPVR install (version 2.6.2). I have lost the ability to stream outside of LAN.

  Having some issues with 2.6.2
Posted by: Bluethunder - 2013-04-07, 05:26 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (28)

Hello all.

I've been running 2.5.5 for a while now, tried 2.5.9 briefly, but it was not stable, so I rolled back.

I'm trying 2.6.2, and so far, haven't had alot of luck with it.

So far, the problem I'm having, is the live TV works once, after that it hangs, and NPVR stops working until I "STOP" the recording service. I haven't tried doing a scheduled recording yet.

I included the logs with this message.

I've rolled back to a relatively clean windows xp install image, completely removed 2.4.x NPVR that was installed, reinstalled the direct-x redist, re-installed the vc-redist 2008, re-installed NPVR 2.6.2 (completely new, no configuration rolled forward), shut down my firewall completely. I've got the latest Collussus drivers, the latest ATI drivers for my card.

Tried EVR and VRM-9 Custom renderers, and a number of decoders.

Any ideas?

This is a windows XP SP3 machine, Haup collusus, ati HD4800, 500GB HD (20GB free on system, and 380GB free on recordings drive)

Cheers, Joe

New HDHomeRun Prime - third tuner doesn't work
Posted by: roy - 2013-04-06, 09:11 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

I just installed a new HDHR Prime, in place of my old DCR-2650, with the new 20130328 install package. Put the cablecard in and it took right off, except that the third tuner does not work. Using the HDHomeRun config utility, it seems there is no signal at all to that third tuner.

Is it the tuner, the cablecard, the fact that I had the two tuner DCR-2650 previously? The device settings sees all three, and shows them as DCR-2650/HDHR Prime, is this normal? I did uninstall and reinstall the drivers. WMC also gets no signal with that tuner.

Any ideas? Or shall I head on over to SiliconDust for help?

Thanks!

NPVR not scanning standard definition cable on AVerTV Hybrid
Posted by: pomme - 2013-04-06, 07:31 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

I've been digging through the forum over the last few days and haven't found anything to help me out.

I am using an AVerTV Hybrid Volar MAX TV Tuner in Windows 7 64bit. I have the cable running directly from the wall to the tuner. The standard-definition cable channels appear when I have the cable connected to a TV. Additionally, WMC can detect the channels and display channel information and so on.

When I scan the channels in NPVR on the device with QAM type selecting Default Cable Frequencies I get several results, but they all appear to be ATSC channels. I can tune a few of them in, but most just show me a black screen. These seems to be local/area HD channels and are not what I am looking for.

Am I missing something obvious? If it's helpful I can post a log, but I am unsure how to generate one, or where to find the log file. Any help would be appreciated. I can successfully watch all the channels in WMC, but ideally I'd like to use NPVR with XBMC.

  NextPVR on Apple TV2
Posted by: jfairham - 2013-04-06, 10:59 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

Hi, I have XBMC 12.1 on apple tv2 everything set up and channels have pulled though except I am experiencing one problem:-

On the apple tv when I select a channel to watch it hangs for a while before saying the tuner is no longer available. I have searched around a abit and tried disabling timeshifting in the configuration. However, if I select timeshifting the Appletv crashes and reboots when I select a channel, if I select timeshifting I get the tuner no longer available error.

Any ideas?

Windows 7 x64 computer hangs with ver. 2.6.2 when accessing users\public\npvr folder
Posted by: TVHelp - 2013-04-05, 09:43 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

I am having problems with my win7x64 computer hanging, requiring hard boot, since installing version 2.6.2. This occurs whenever I access the users\public\npvr folder in any way: to edit scripts, to view logs, or read the database. I could not even zip up logs until I went back to version 2.5.9 - so I have attached those, although I don't know that they will give you what you need for this. There is no clear error message on my system that I can find. It seems that something is not being released or destroyed and NPVR is keeping hold of that directory. Or some conflict on my system...don't know what but 2.5.9 does not seem to be a problem.

Side note: I was lucky to find the ver 2.5.9 files instead of .exe, it is great to have the .exe when installing but if you want to rollback to previous it is no good. Since the installer itself would skip over files if they are older, will you be sure to always provide just the files without the installer??? Am I at risk having copied the 2.5.9 files into the programs folders after having installed 2.6.2? What is the best way to rollback and keep setup?

Thanks,

logs attached.

Speeding up the DVB EPG update
Posted by: Petrovski - 2013-04-05, 06:50 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I note that when doing a DVB EPG update NPVR scans all muxes [six in my area].
I may be wrong in this but I believe [in UK at least] that full EPG data is available on every mux - so NPVR only needs to scan one?
Is this already configurable or does it belong on the wishlist?
