I recently installed Hauppauge WinTV HVR 2250 tuner card. I installed NextPVR and tried to follow instructions on setting it up. I have all of my channels listed, program guide is populated. When I click on live tv i get a black screen. I was able to record test show to see if I was actually getting a signal and seems to be. The file size was not 0, and I was able to refresh as it was recording and was able to see the file size increase. Once I stopped recording and open file to play back, I get the name of the file across top of window but only black screen. The file was saved as a .ts. I tried to open in media player was unable to. To be honest, I don't know if I have decoders set correclty. I am running Windows Vista. Under settings, decorders I have video render set to EVR, audio render to defualt. Video decoder MPEG2 video is set to Main Concept MPEG2 and audio decoder MPEG1 Audio set to MPEG Audio Decoder. Any help would be greatly appreciated on getting this to work.

I have had a really good go at troubleshooting this on my own (a couple of hours) and spent a lot of time poking around the FAQ and forum pages and had a good look at the logs on my own too. I am hoping that this is going to be bread a butter for someone with the knowhow.
I have a small Digital USB TV tuner attached to a friends PC (windows server 2008R2) as they with to use NEXT PVR software to watch and record TV.The logs indicate that the tuner is found by NEXT PVR and it identifies it as a DVB device so I do not need to install the huppage analog software to use the tuner. I have checked the prerequisites which seem to be met and I don't see any problems there from the logs, but I don't really know what I am looking for.
I cannot get the tuner to show up in the devices section of the setup so I am falling at the first hurdle (see below).

I installed the most recent version of imageGrabLite and it seems to have changed the naming convention adding the year into several of the titles, though not all of them.
Here's what I'm getting now - "Once Upon a Time (2011).S02E18.Selfless, Brave and True.ts"
Here's what I used to get - "Once Upon a Time.S02E01.Broken.ts"
Is there a parameter I can use to drop the (yyyy) from the file name? I'd like to keep the file names all uniform to match what I already use so when I list a directory through windows they show up in chronological order.
I'm using Schedules Direct if that makes a difference.
I have just sent a "report" to Google? The client does a download and then says "populating database" and that ends with "Unfortunately nDroid has stopped". Are there too many recordings in my database? The nDroid folder is at https://www.dropbox.com/s/wh7om7q6oq7b00...ervice.zip. Thanks.
I have been having this problem since i updated to 2.6.2. The picture freezes in XBMC and if I try to reselect a channel it locks it up and I have to restart it. It happens randomly maybe after 2 minutes, maybe 20. Works fine with NPVR alone though.
How do i open settings? I accidentally unchecked open with right click. Also how do i get the box with the channel and progress bar to hide in full screen?
Hi, may I know if same channel same timeslot but different show everyday, how to record it daily and get the filename from EPG? Any set once and forget it steps to do? Thanks a lot.
Would it be possible to make a variant of the -import commandline option, like -ImportOnly that just imports the given file and does not display a message box? It is very annoying with the messagebox if run from a remote computer using PsExec service.
