When I try to scan for channels on my Nova tuner NPVR locks up, not responding. Only way back is reboot. This tuner was working on 2.5.9 - but this is a clean install. attached logs
I just tried the new version, clean install, but cannot get it working
When I try to view a channel I get the message in the sub, at this point it seems the recording service crash because the npvr device status goes blank. Attached logs.
1. This is maybe only starting from 2.6.2 (not sure): automatic (scheduled) update of the EPG (doesn't matter which time) doesn't work. I empty the EPG data, set the time to one minute from now, and nothing happens then..
2. This happened also on 2.5.9: it seems that shows from the updated EPG are merged with the shows already in the current one. That results in overlapping and duplication of shows (for example when a show's time has been updated), which makes the EPG quite useless at times. I'm sure it doesn't come that way (over DVB-T), because when I reset it and update, the EPG is fine.
I've installed a Hauppauge DCR-2650 on my i7/ASUS PC and it works with Windows Media Center.
However, when I install NPVR (so that I can use the 2650 with XBMC), the NPVR Setup does not see the DCR-2650 as a device to be "configured/setup".
Interestingly and as another symptom of the problem, neither does the WinTV v2.7 software - i.e. it does not find any channels after telling it that I have a M-Card installed, etc...
Has anyone had this problem and/or been able to use a 2650 with NPVR?
for some reason lately i have been getting a lot of 10 second recordings.... the 10 seconds recordings are about 8MB in size and do contain 10 seconds of actual recording but for some reason the shows are not fully recording.
looking at the log the recordings do show to start and stop at the correct time but for some reason are only 10 seconds long.
I have attached the nrecord.log file.
the two shows (mickey mouse) both only recorded 10 seconds.
emptied EPG (force of habit).
update EPG
away it goes getting the xml data followed by grabbing from the DVB-T tuner.
During the DBV-T grab it crashed with an empty Windows "status" box. I close this and up pops the Windows "stopped working box (see screen grab below).

Ahhh - interesting.... Looking at the log, it may have died on 530000 which is an (the only) HD mux....

Say I want to record any episodes of star wars clone wars in the future for channel 31. How do I set that up to record.
I can't find any way to search for future episodes.
