  Windows 8 64-bit, NPVR and WinTV usb2
Posted by: xzb6np - 2013-03-25, 04:03 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (17)

Does the WinTV Usb 2 work with NPVR? I am running Windows 8 64-bit. It has a 64-bit driver for the device and the device works fine with SnapStream but I am looking to move away from SnapStream since it is no longer support to NPVR.

When I open the settings and look at devices, the WinTV is not listed.

Any Ideas?

Thanks!

Weather plugin menu hard to see
Posted by: McBainUK - 2013-03-25, 01:53 PM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - Replies (3)

Does anyone else get this problem with the Weather plugin's hidden menu? The colours used mean that the non-selected items are invisible. Is there a Weather plugin developer around that can fix it?

Some problem with the quality of the recording of the same channel in 2.6.2
Posted by: Kiwi - 2013-03-25, 10:28 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (28)

There seems to be some problem with the quality of the recording of the same channel in 2.6.2.

I give an example:

I record a channel from 0800 to 0901, and the same channel from 0900 to 1001.

For the first recording, there is a problem at 0900 where the playback of the clip indicates a slight jerking, at the time when the second recording is starting.

This doesn't happen with the previous version.

  Importing MCE recordings
Posted by: Tre4Bax - 2013-03-25, 09:51 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Hi There,

Anyone got any ideas for doing this? I have a whole load of these and it would be a lot better if I could import them rather than just run them through the videos link as I am at the moment.

  Tuner not available on 2.5.9
Posted by: tgp - 2013-03-25, 06:35 AM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - No Replies

Was trying to diagnose the xbmc reboot issue (evidently fixed by reloading EPG (schedules direct) but now XMBC says under Live TV, that tuner is no longer available. Status screen on backend does indeed show that tuner was up, then removed.

Using CableCard in HDHomeRun

captured logs, plus xmbc log from Pi.

2.6.2 has solved mini freezes for me - Nice :)
Posted by: siliconaudio - 2013-03-25, 06:01 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

After the R2 patch on 2.5.9, I would get little mini-freezes of the video during live TV. This seems to be completely resolved in 2.6.2. In fact, so far, this is looking like a very solid release.

Posted by: vbtalent - 2013-03-25, 03:02 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (30)

Trying to setup NextPVR for the first time and am getting an error when trying to import the EPG using mc2xml.

"Unexpected error importing channels: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object"

Anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Daylight Savings time -- Wrong recorded time after change
Posted by: davidc502 - 2013-03-25, 01:41 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (59)

Hello,

After the time change NPVR records an hour off. This happened last year too, and I think I just cancelled and re-entered the recordings and it worked fine.

Are others having the same issue? If yes, is there a faster work around?

Thanks,

David

  Upgrade Procedure Warning
Posted by: steeb - 2013-03-24, 11:40 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

Hi sub,

as usual thanks so much for great software that continually improves and builds.

I have just upgraded to to the official release of 2.6.2 and was surprised to again see a prompt to make sure that all NextPVR services had been stopped (which I had already) before completing install. My point!

At least the installer should really know whether a user has closed all services prior to installation BUT IMHO even better that this was handled by the installer without user input?

I do understand how much time you have put into this project and that this may be a back-burner thing? But honestly when I upgrade software I do not expect this kind of extra headache if I was not familiar with the product?

Could the installer with the next version of 3.0 and .Net 4.0 just do this silently?

cheers as ever

steeb

  Recording Service Will Not Start
Posted by: Mroctober - 2013-03-24, 10:59 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (12)

Installed Next PVR fine, scanned the channels. But when I go to turn a channel, message pops up saying "cannot communicate with recording service". Tried to turn it on with Next but got " Unable to start service: System.ServiceProcess, Timed Out". Tried starting service in administrative tools and got Error 1607
