I am getting nothing but a black screen with I attempt to watch live TV or playback a recording done NPVR. The recordings play correctly with VLC or Media Player Classic.

Attached is a log from attempting to playback a recording. I have tried all of the options in decoders renderers.

I have 4 displays on my computer:
ATI Radeon 6850 GPU monitor1 DVI monitor2 DVI, Intel HD3000 chipset monitor3 DVI and monitor4 HDMI

NextPVR on the primary display monitor1 works fine, it will go to Full screen on monitor1 with Start on secondary monitor is off.

If I start NextPVR on another monitor and exit, I start NextPVR and it will often revert to monitor1 !?? , at other time it will start again on the last monitor, (monitor3 but not monitor4 ).

With Start on secondary monitor enabled, it will go Full screen on monitor2 , I wish I could specify which display is the secondary monitor.
With Start on secondary monitor disabled, I move NextPVR to any of the 3 other displays, it will go to Full screen on monitor1 :eek: Not what I expected.

Is there a way to specify which display correspond to NextPVR primary/secondary monitor?

I have been unable to find documentation for the NEWA config screen. I am most interested in information on the --EWA configuration Settings -- section. I am attempting to access NPVR service from another computer. Do the values in this section affect that access ?

I have tried http://pvr:8866/logon.aspx, http://pvr:8866/guide.aspx and http://pvr:8866/guide2.aspx. For all of these I get connection timed out.

After putting it off for a long time I just upgraded from GBPVR to NPVR. So far I think I've got it mostly working and love it. One odd thing... when I go to search, I can't type in a show name using the keyboard. I can only use the remote to select a letter of the alphabet and then scroll through the list of titles. Am I missing something? I'm assuming it's possible to type in a show name like in GBPVR.

Hi. I'm new to NextPVR and the NextPVR Addon in XBMC. I've been using XBMC for years but new to the PVR stuff.

I have a question. When I select "LIVE TV" from XBMC (I use the Neon skin), it goes into the addon and I'm presented with the left-hand menu. The screen is dim at this point. I can navigate through everything fine and everything works great. However, it stays dim until I start playing something, at which point the screen returns to its usual brightness.

Is this normal? It makes it quite hard to see stuff.

Long time user of gbpvr/nextpvr but recently a couple of issues have meant it is frustrating to use at the moment.

It takes abut 20-30 secs to start the client exe. The log seems to point to FadeThroughTransitionHelper.GetRenderList() causing a 20 second delay any ideas?
it is running on a Acer nettop pc which runs most things fine.

Does NPVR automatically reschedule failed recordings ? For the recording options Record all episodes on this channel and Record all episodes on all channels, there may be additional airings that could recorded in place of the failed recording.

I have not been able to find CURRENT information about configuring my Firefly remote. With only the standard KeyMappings.xml the remote generally seems to work. I have NPVR 2.5.9R1. Is there something more that I need to do ? I am attempting to put my Recurring Recordings in priority order and wiki specifies the skip/repeat buttons but those keys are not defined in KeyMappings.xml.
