Tried to re-register NPVR filters (Probably doesn't need it) both from the start menu and the bat file in the NPVR Folder (Run as Administrator)
From the Command Window it looks for the filters in Windows/System32 and can't find them. (Windows 8 32 Bit)
I recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 64bit on my laptop for grins. Added XBMC from the regular repository and have tried every NPVR plugin for linux listed on the site http://www.dotnetdevelopers.net/XBMC/xbmcpvr.html. When I try to install from zip in XBMC it says the addon doesn't have the correct structure.
Sub......I live in the path of Hurricane Sandy (far enough away from landfall for no issues)....some local TV channels cut away all night for local coverage on 10/29/2012. The CBS network appears to have not run their scheduled shows on 10/29/2012 and rescheduled them for 11/5/2012.
My recordings did run on 10/29/2012 and recorded the news.
I deleted the events from my system that were nothing but news.
I looked at my guide and 11/5/2012 has all the shows from 10/29/2012 on CBS....and they are flagged as new.......but they were not set to record.

I had to manually set each show to record on 11/5/2012 since my recurring recording did not pick them up.
Did they not get picked up by my recurring schedule because the episodes already existed on my system or is it a possible bug?
For those who live in the states and get their tv OTA, is there an antenna you'd recommend? I know many things matter such as inside or outside the city limits and such but if my ISP is going to encrypt their QAM (don't know when, they won't even discuss it) I thought I better look for a good antenna and check things out sooner than later.
I notice that it is possible to set the Service Type on an ATSC/QAM channel to MPEG-2 SD or MPEG-2 HD, though the channel scan sets them all to MPEG-2 SD even if they're HD.
Is there any reason I should go through my digital channels and set their Service Type correctly? Is this SD/HD distinction being used for anything now or will it be used in the future?
Hello, this is my first post on this forum, i've installed NextPVR yesterday after struggling several weeks with Media Portal...
The intention is to use NextPVR as a solution to supply to 2 ATV2 extenders, using XBMC.
I installed the server correctly, with Analog (Hauppauge PVR 150) and Digital (Pixelview ISBDT Usb dongle).
The problem i have is that the analog tuner seems to hang or freeze, so if i use it on the pc, then quit NPVR and try to use it on XBMC, a sign will show that there are not tuners available.
the same happens if i tune a channel on xbmc, exit the app, and then try again to tune, the same sign will appear.
the only fix is to reboot the pc, until then it will show that sign...
My system is Win 7 Ultimate 64bits, I5 processor and 4gb ram (i have 8gb, but due to drivers issues with the Analog card had to use only 4gb)
Do you have any idea or if there is a script to release the tuner automatically after each exit?
I have discovered very high CPU usage in NPVR when using Direct show to play back Video - Videos that are playing back at 16 - 20% in GraphStudeoNext are running at 65-85% in NPVR (Enough to take the CPU Temp over 100C) This is WMV HD downloads and MKV Bluray Rips. I will have to do some testing this weekend - but in the meantime has anyone got any bright ideas. All was working well on vista :eek:
Installed NPVR 3-4 weeks ago to replace WMC7. All has been working ok except one relatively significant issue. The issue is that the EPG does not update and with this the scheduled recording also dont populate. The only way i seem to be able to get this to work is by checking each channel group in Live tv which in turn updates the epg. problem is this doesnt update the scheduled recordings list. I then seem to have to do an EPG Epdate from within channels. Is there any way to fix this or automate the EPG update? I dont watch live tv on this machine. Npvr's function is to simply record episodes that i watch via a media player.
