A recent post on skinning reminded me that while I had somehow modified the skin for the TVGuide to show ONLYthe icons, I had not yet got around to getting rid of the space around these icons.
Can someone point out which numbers I need to modify, in which direction, to achieve this?
I am assuming it is Guide.xml in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\Default\TV Guide.
I will be getting a new PC soon and put in a BGT3620 PCI Card to watch and Record TV.
I'm looking for something that where I would be able to record my favourite radio shows, internet radio, from all over the world. I want to be able to Record by setting a timer in advance. E.g. If i'm going out at 11am I can record I can record my show that is coming on a 3pm.
I'm from the UK but there are radio shows I would love to record in North America but I can't stay up for them otherwise I would be very tired at work!
Reason I'm asking the question here is because I heard that NPVR is affilliated with Tune In Radio in some way?
I watch most of my recordings on my Vista client and v2.3.6 has worked well for me since it was released. R1 patches made no significant difference and Skip almost always worked correctly for me. However after installing the recent âSkip patchâ NextPVR became unstable and at best would take about 20 seconds before the video was displayed and would take about 10 seconds to respond to Stop or Esc. The sound was often very choppy and sometimes also the video and NextPVR was very prone to âNot Respondingâ.
Reverting to the R1 patch and unregistering the TSreader2 made no difference and likewise after reinstalling v2.3.6 it was still almost unusable. Next I uninstalled NextPVR and deleted the NPVR data directory and reinstalled again but the problems were still there. I knew that this is not a fault in NextPVR because my other Vista client behaves as expected when similarly reinstalled so it had to be a problem with Windows. Instead of doing a Vista reinstall I did a âSystem Restoreâ from a restore point made in late January.
Afterwards some software had disappeared and other had reappeared so some installing and uninstalling was needed to get back to the required condition. After reinstalling NextPVR I now have a reliable working setup again. It is impossible to say what had gone wrong but something in Windows had got corrupted and a Restore took Windows back to how it was about 6 weeks ago when it was working correctly. However all versions of Windows gradually deteriorate so need a reinstall after a year or so to the point where afterwards people assumed you had given them a new faster computer!
It seems that (unlike on the PC) when I use the Universe plugin on the NMT it does not "know" the duration of the video so it always displays "0:00" on the time bar. So, when I pause to try to let a buffer build up and skip ahead it jumps back to the beginning of the video. Is there any way that the duration could be passed along or is it not possible? Thanks.
Playing a program which is still recording past the end time of the recording, after the recording has stopped, the playback fails to respond to skips, and is very reluctant to stop.
The log is for the following actions.
a recording set to stop at 11:40
start npvr at 11:35
start playback at 11:36
watch until after recording stops
11:41 try to skip a few times, no response, press stop and it freezes
after a while it continues playing. Pressing stop a few times, that repeats, but it won't actually stop.
11:43:20 it stops, and does several sorts on the recordings list (the leftover stop instructions).
The log makes it look as if the skips work and the stop wasn't pressed until 23:43.
I'm running NPVR 2.3.6 with R1 patch and Skip patch, using EVR renderer and PDVD11 H264 decoder.
When playing an auto generated random playlist, if I skip to the next track or two, npvr freezes. It doesn't happen during normal play mode. I get this error in the logs:
Unexpected error: System.OverflowException: Overflow error along with an empty time count on the jukebox. Logs attached
Sub, I have started archiving more files, and I think the reduced disk reading speed is highlighting a resume problem on the NMT. I don't think it is related to the skip fix changes. I don't think you are waiting long enough, and whatever timing is used the seek command never even makes it to the PCH.
Code:
2012-03-03 00:03:07.845 [DEBUG][3] Scheduling deferred skip to occur in 250ms
...
2012-03-03 00:03:07.911 [DEBUG][3] Handling deferred skip
As the title says id like a short cut that i can map to my remote so it does a season record
So when i press it it automatically just sets up to record all episodes of that program or could be set to be records all new episodes or which ever its set to be the default
1 or 2 button presses compared to the 10 I have to do now
Hi guys,
This is my first time to use NPVR. When I want to change my EPG Resource DVB/ATSC to Schedules Direct, which I have an account, I can not download it because of a prompt windows showing an exception occurrend during webclient request. What does it mean? How do I resolve that.
P.S. if I don't change, when I click the live TV botton, it shows unable to communicate with record services.
