Is there a way to record only a specific audio stream in ATSC broadcasts? I occasionally want to keep some ATSC recordings so I trim the pre and post-padding and commercials if any. These broadcasts have two AC3 audio streams, there's a high bit-rate (sometimes 5.1) and a low bit-rate stream. Unless I remove one of the streams the trimmed recording has the two streams merged together in a mess.
I'd prefer to eliminated the step of cutting a stream before trimming. Can NPVR just record a single audio stream? Thanks.
i just got npvr and went through the steps of installing my analog device. now it is the only device enabled and i scanned through all the channels to add them, but when i go to live tv it gives me "unable to communicate with recording service" any ideas?
Has anyone figured out how to get Chrome browser to allow you to open VLC for a ".vlc" stream initiated by the Launch external player button from the streaming web interface?
Firefox handles this fine, but Chrome seems a little defective in this area. Or, maybe it is just me.
I already have GBPVR running with a NOVA-S-PLUS but happen to have an old NOVA-S laying around.
The hardware list says that the NOVA-S is supported but I am having difficulty getting the device to appear in the device list.
The log file only reports the NOVA-S-PLUS card.
Do I need a BDA driver set for the NOVA-S ??
I have looked high and low and tried various packages off the web - the only one that did anything vaugely useful came up as a "network device" under XP's device manager!!
Does anyone have a driver set for the old NOVA-S --- or am I flogging a dead horse??
Looking at the nPVR hardware list I'd face an even bigger challenge if I tried that :-(
Basically, the short version of an issue I'm having, is when I stop streaming video through NEWA, NRecord.exe crashes and the recording service restarts. I've replicated the issue a couple of times - please let me know if you need more logs. There's no crash file in c:\temp.
This is from the Windows App Log:

I've applied all NPVR R1 patches and NEWA code patches up through today (28 Feb 2012 in my part of the world). I haven't applied the pre-R2 patch yet. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 in case that matters.

Using version 1.7.7 I can play LiveTV with MX player with no problems. However, trying to play recordings does not work. Getting an error message from MX that the file cannot be played. I can play the same file from ES file explorer with no problems.
The difference that I can see is that when playing liveTV MX automatically is going in S/W Decoder (fast mode) whereas for recordings it is using H/W mode.
