  Another PostProcessing.bat not running
Posted by: wpjonesnh - 2012-02-14, 05:30 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (11)

Good Day.....
Another Noobie here.
I have been a BeyondTV user for just over a year and a half(and regretting that purchase ever since). I have been experimenting with NPVR and BeyondTV for a couple of months now trying to get the best configuration. I have to admit that by far NextPVR is far superior, especially when you include just a few plugins. My last issue that I am having now that I have fully converted over to NPVR is that my PostProcessing.bat file is not executing at the end of a recording. I honestly tried my best to figure this out on my own but to no avail. The bat file has only one line in it that calls a compiled perl script which I am using to quickfix, run comskip and run videoredo on the file. From the command line everything works fine when I run the executable:

Code:
@echo off C:\MPlayer\process_videos.exe %~f1

Edit: (Running Windows XP Professional 64 Bit)

Am I doing something incorrectly or missing something fairly simple here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My NRecord.log file contents of my last recording attempt are below along with zipped logfile.

Thank you and Regards

  Exclude folder from PLAYBACK_POSITION
Posted by: mvallevand - 2012-02-14, 05:34 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

I have been playing with the YouTube plugin and now have 100+ rows in the PLAYBACK_POSITION table, that are the remuxed YouTube files for the NMT that I manually clean out. Would it be possible to add a filter exclude certain folders from playback? Alternatively if the PlayVideo() function could be passed a flag to not store the position that would work too.

On the question of position, does NextPVR require a full path match or does it use just the filename.ext I am thinking of archiving files and would like to keep the resume points.

  Transitioning from MVP to NMT
Posted by: dongna - 2012-02-14, 04:23 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (21)

Finally picked up a Popcorn Hour A110 and transitioning to it from MVP.

Downloaded NMTInstall2.exe and ran it. All appeared to install OK. Not sure what I have to do next. Here's my output from NMTChecker. Any help appreciated!

Are network paths permitted for Media folders?
Posted by: bgowland - 2012-02-14, 02:57 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

Just wondering.

For example I only use paths local to my npvr such as 'friendly' name "JukeBox" with a path of "D:\Music". is it possible for a user to have the path as "\\myserver\music" ?

Cheers,
Brian

EPG stopped updating from XML (2.3.6)
Posted by: shaunpatrick77 - 2012-02-14, 01:00 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (11)

My guide data stopped updating for some reason. I've tried manually clearing and updating the epg etc but nothing seems to work.

I can view the tvguide.xml file with a seperate app (XMLTV EPG Viewer.exe) and all the data seems to be fine. BTW get the data from Oztivo using Epgstreams' xmltv download. There's been no changes on my end as far as I can tell.

I've attached logs and the tvguide.xml file.

Many Thanks!

PS does anyone know if I still need to use the xmltv download app. I remember reading somewhere that 2.3.6 can be pointed directly at a web site for data, but I'm not sure if australian data sites such as oztivo.net/xmltv or epg-service.tv are suitable?

  1 WinTV-HVR-2250 sometimes can record 3 shows
Posted by: kirschey - 2012-02-14, 12:14 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (17)

Hi,

Something odd has been happening recently with my WinTV-HVR-2250 and NPVR. Mostly I can record 2 QAM shows at a time, sometimes 3. In status, of the settings it shows 4 total. I think something weird is going on with my configuration.

I recently upgraded, but this issue was happening before. Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks!

  Configure composite video STB source
Posted by: djc45 - 2012-02-13, 01:34 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Hi,
I am new to NPVR, so please me gentle.
I have 2 Compro S350 DVB-s cards in my PC and I am trying to configure the analogue composite video input on one of the cards as a source. I have a STB connected to this input and would like to be able to record this source and set up the MCE blaster to control the STB.
The problem is, that I can`t seem to find how to configure the card in NPVR to use the composite input, it seems to want to tune the satellite channels in using the card's own tuner.
I know that the composite input is connected and working correctly as when I use the Compro videomate software I can view the STB. Obviously, I have stopped this software before trying to configure NPVR.
I appreciate any help that anyone can give, as I really want to get this set up using NPVR.
Thanks
Duncan
