One of my EPG's always goes to the nearest 1/2hr, so I miss the last part of some games, as they finish 1/4 to the hour.
I know I can update the padding on individual selections, but was wondering if a request for padding applied to the Saved Autorecord would be possible so that each game is padded.

There seems to have been some problems with users' devices automatically updating from v1.6.8 to v1.7.x so I've released a new version of both the nDroid app (on the Android Market) and the nDroid Service software (available from the nDroid wiki page ).

Changes:

I use mc2xml for guide data. I used NPVR without issues for several months until suddenly I missed some recordings and several of my channels were showing "no data" in the guide. I went into the channel setup and it turns out that some of the channels were showing no "mapping" to guide channels. I then went in the "Details" of each channel and mapped them to the correct guide channels. All was fine again for several weeks but now they have become "unmapped" again??

Ok after i got the problem that npvr crashs with scanning the channels. i solved this problem with deleting some frequenz frome the ini file. now i have the prb i get no video on my server and on my client but gbpvr was working fine on my client. and i do video cutting on my workstation i think that a have installed every codec that could be installed.

help please

The nDroid app communicates with the nDroid Service using HTTP. As of v1.7.x of nDroid, two ports are used (one for the main service and one for the streaming service).

By default the main service listens on port 8790 and the streaming service listens on 8791. Please make sure both of these ports are open in any firewall you use.

If you change the main service port to another number, the streaming service will use that number + 1. For example, if you change the main service to use port 9000 then the streaming service will use 9001. Make sure to follow that pattern when changing firewall rules.

I've been using Beyond TV and I decided to try out NPVR as this software has matured and sleek and simple yet powerful.

My apologies in advance for the basic question...

I've set this software up with my new Hauppauge colossus capture card and everything seems to work great with the exception of one thing. An option that every PVR does. I hope I'm missing something here.

When I watch live TV and then press record on the remote, I was expecting that it at a minimum, the software would start recording while I'm watching or at a maximum give me a message with the option to record from where I started to watch it by using the buffer file.

Its not working that way. I press record, I get a system message that the capture card is no longer available , then a black screen.

Is this normal?

how difficult would it be to add info to info bar (ctrl b). when hitting "ctrl b" to show info, could you grab channel name from the channels page in settings. similar to when you hit the up arrow it shows the name from the channel settings. i found that the name section is more open to adding data. it will accept more charactors and i can add info.

I have suspected for a few weeks that some recordings were missing but I delete most recordings without viewing either as duplicates or because I remember watching the episode, so it was difficult to be certain. This morning I had 44 “Pending Recordings” and I remember yesterday that it was well over 60. I did a manual “EPG Update” 6 hours after the overnight update and now have 79 pending recordings. I had earlier checked how many recordings were due on each date and after the manual update the numbers increased by between 50% and 100%. I did have the problem of EPG data completely missing from several channels over a couple of nights several weeks ago which is covered on another thread but have not been aware of any missing EPG data which could cause this problem.

Enclosed are the parts of the logs covering both (DVB-T) EPG updates:-

NRecord.log has the overnight EPG update but nothing for the manual update at 08:10. The “Request Wakeup” list contains 79 items after the 08:10 update but only about 39 after the overnight update, the small discrepancy being because I added a couple of recurring recordings just before the manual update.

NDigitalHost.log has the tuning for the last 3 Overnight EPG updates and the details of 3 of the around 25 recordings made over that time but contains nothing since 02:48.

NPVR.log contains the details of the manual EPG update at 08.10

The most obvious difference between the Manual and Overnight EPG update data is the info in “Saving X listings for channel”. I don’t know if they work differently but in the normal EPG update the number of listings saved in NRecord.log is mostly less than 10 but for the manual update in NRecord.log the number is far higher often being over 100.

An example of a missing recording is a programme called “Click” on BBC News (Channel OID 7180). After the Manual update “Wakeup” is listed at 01:30, 03:30, 11:30 and 20:30 on 11th Feb but does not appear on the list after the normal EPG update.
