Sorry, I couldn't tell from the Wiki. Does this allow you to record just new episodes in a series as indicated by the "new" element in the XML? Thanks.
NextPVR has been running without incident for some 4+ weeks so naturally I've got to screw with it.
At present Comskip runs per Postprocessing and appears to be tuned correctly. I'd like to run Comclean but at a later time because the load of two recordings running Mencoder and live TV concurrently is excessive on my PC. Is there a "post-postprocessing" available in Nextpvr as there was in GB-pvr?
I am having a problem with the recording service getting stuck. Everything shows that it is still recording a show that should have ended hours ago. When I try to view the file it is only about 5 seconds long. If I stop and then restart the recording service it will normally work for one or two recordings and then it will freeze again and I get another 5 second recording. The most recent instance that should show up in these logs is "Ice Age Mammoth Christmas". I have the recording still too if that is helpful.
I have a Hauppauge HVR-4000 that I am trying to get to work with NextPVR, for viewing analog live tv. After I installed SoftPVR as desribed in the wiki I was able to successfully scan for channels but when I start NextPVR and click live tv all I get is a black screen and no sound. Tried with the different MPEG-2 encoders in the list including the HCW one (which I assume is SoftPVR) but nothing works. I have tried searching the forums but I can't find anything that helps me. I am using the 64-bit version of Windows 7 - could this be the cause of the problem? Did anyone get this setup working?
I use NextPVR with DVB-c provider Lijbrandt (Glashart Media) in the Netherlands. It works perfectly, with 2 DVB-c tuners recording up to 3 frequencies simultaneously (if need arises).
Now, suddenly there were problems. Nickelodeon would not record, and instead of channel RTL-8 the channel Veronica was recorded and vice versa.
So, I deleted Nickelodeon, RTL-8 and Veronica from the channel list under "Devices", and rescanned.
Still RTL-8 instead of Veronica and vice versa. And, when a scheduled recording for Nickelodeon came up, the whole thing crashed again.
Investigated:
* Nickelodeon got a new frequency, and by rescanning it got a new channel ID. Old recordings were scheduled for the channel with the old ID, which did not exist anymore. Hence the crash.
* When scanning the DVB-c, and finding channel names that are in the database, NextPVR does not see it if names are switched by the provider (for whatever reason???).
My solution:
* Using my trusty SQlite Database Browser I manually edited the NPVR.db3 database. Manually I switched (copy/pasted) the tuning information for the RTL-8 and Veronica channels. And I changed the ID of Nickelodeon back to the old ID.
So, here is how to do it if you have such a problem.
To sub: maybe in the future you can work out a solution to do this prettier... Must say I liked the structured approach of NextPVR, so I was able to solve this at all.
I have just acquired a HDX1000 which came supplied with PCH firmware (latest version) (and no copy of the HDX firmware).
I am running an old version on GBPVR (it ain't broke so I haven't upgraded) GBPVR ver 1.3.11
I don't wish to change version of GBPVR if I can help it - it's working just fine.

Most things are up and running - recordings play fine (SD mpg from uk freeview). Fast Forward smooth at approx 2 times normal.
I understand rewind is not possible (in gbpvr black screen then return to menu). (I can't believe it doesn't work in the PCH software either, but there you go).
I can not get skip/seek to work at all - any tips - what keys - nothing seems to work? help!
