[TV Movie ClickFinder] ClickFinder is back online
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2011-11-11, 09:58 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (1)

Hello Alibert Big Grin

Good news for ClickFinder, after talking to the developer i just got a mail from him:

Code:
I'm sorry you had problems with the TV movie Clickfinder. We have been assured that the TV movie Clickfinder should not be set. The current problems are, unfortunately, entirely on the relaunch of the website tvmovie.de (and today clickfinder.de) due. Please try to update the TV again now. Unfortunately, there was a temporary technical problems with the provision of information by television TV movie. Meanwhile, however, this is fixed. Also, the download links are working again. Please excuse the inconvenience. Please email us again if there was still a problem with the TV movie Clickfinder.

Perhaps there's an option to update the used pathes now for tvm2xml. Just as an info to you. Your workaround is working fine too. ^^

Selling my 2 MVPs! They work, just don't use them.

I hate to see them go. They rocked the house when I was using them, I just don't anymore, and you know, gotta clean up, get what we can for 'em.

They're out on e-bay. One even has the box. They are both Model 1000s.

  NextPVR -updateepgonly checking for plugins
Posted by: ACTCMS - 2011-11-11, 12:04 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

An SSPlus user sent me the attached log showing an error in my ctor when he ran the command

Code:
NextPVR -updateepgonly
I am unable to recreate the error on my system because when I run the same command, NPVR doesn't even check for plugins.

Q1 -why does his system check for plugins and mine doesn't?

Manual Record popup does not pop up!
Posted by: salience - 2011-11-10, 10:54 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

Hello all,
I'm trying to use NPVR as a better capture device than the rather clunky ArcSoft module that comes with the Hauppauge HD-PVR installation disc. Installed NPVR ok, main window opens fine, Hauppauge appears as a device present and enabled in settings, but hitting Manual Record gets only the following exception message and the program seizes. Probably missing something obvious, but not a clue!

  Comskip Question
Posted by: ToughRowToHoe - 2011-11-10, 08:43 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (13)

I'm having problems with comskip starting the commercial skip too soon and ending it too early. I miss a minute or so just prior to the skip and end up with a minute or so of commercials just after. I've not really seen any complaint here but looking at the comskip forum it looks like I should by changing the "edl_offset" setting. With the March donators versions however, there is no edl_offset setting. Is anybody else running into this with NPVR? If so, how are you dealing with it? Thanks.

second recordings in a row cut short
Posted by: re-Barr - 2011-11-10, 02:45 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (15)

Since I updated to 2.2.6 I have had a problem with back to back shows. The first will record and the second only records a few minutes. This also happens if I am watching something and the tuner becomes unavailable because of a recording. A couple of examples are Burn Notice last night and 19 Kids and Counting the evening before. Logs for both are included. BTW this is the analog portion of a Hauppauge 1600. Burn Notice was scheduled for an hour and the tv guide showed it as an hour. 19 kids and counting was a half hour and again the tv guide showed it as a half hour.

Any help would be appreciated.

  Baffling multiple tuner issue
Posted by: cbdavi19 - 2011-11-10, 09:19 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Greetings. Long time listener; first time caller.

I have 2 identical Hauppauge HVR-1800s in my Windows 7 x64 NPVR box. The 1800 is the PCIe version of the 1600 in that each card has a physically separate analog and digital tuner. The digital tuner does QAM or ATSC but not both at once. So, between the 2 cards I have 2 analog inputs and 2 digital (clear QAM in my case) inputs (4 physical coax connections). FWIW, the 2 ATSC tuners are present but disabled in the NPVR configuration (and 0 channels associated with them).

This is a new (different) box for NPVR; I was using an older/slower box for GBPVR (and a single HVR-1600 tuner) until about 6 months ago. This NPVR box has a squeaky clean Windows 7 installation, the latest drivers/software updates all around, etc. etc. And no issues tuning any of the individual channels (I've been dealing with Comcast clear QAM channel musical chairs with GBPVR/NPVR for the last 3 years).

I *think* this is a recent development, but trying to record different shows on different channels at the same can be an exercise in futility. I'll explain.

Attempting to record 2 simultaneous shows on 2 different QAM-only channels is successful for the first show, but not for the second. It doesn't matter if I switch the tuner preference order, or which channel I start recording first. Clean logs from that test are in the Logs 2 Digital 1 Fail.zip file.

I also experimented with multiple channels that I knew were available on both analog and digital (and merged in the channel list). I got 99 (79-105), 78 (117-1008) and 19 (91-8) to successfully record at the same time, but trying to additionally record 8 (80-202) fails. Clean logs from that test are in the Logs 4 D-A 1 Fail.zip file.

Now here's where it gets strange: I started with the same channels: 99 (79-105), 78 (117-1008) and 19 (91-8) but then added 10 (79-107) and that worked fine. Clean logs from that test are in the Logs 4 D-A 0 Fail.zip file.

Furthermore, I also found that of the merged digital and analog channels, attempting to add a 4th recording to the above test only fails for channels 20 (80-209), 13 (80-201), 8 (37-4), and 7 (80-202). It works fine for the remaining 8 channels!

I'm completely stumped. I've tried both tuners separately in empty npvr.db3 db's and they work fine. Hauppauge drivers are latest & greatest. I even started over on my npvr.db3 db. I started with just 1 tuner, scanned for and re-mapped all the channels, and verified I could watch a digital-only channel while recording an anolog-only channel BEFORE I added the second tuner card (and copied the configuration to the new card and merged the duplicate channels). Same result.

Could this be similar to the issues described in this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...VR-to-work regarding dual 1600's and duplicate 'pins'?

Thanks,

Chris

  setup USBUIRT in next pvr
Posted by: dirtydave - 2011-11-10, 03:06 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

Hi,
I have been using a very old version of gbpvr for years now, the configuration was very simple i used to set the channel changer to "USB-UIRT Plugin" i cannot find where to add this device in the next pvr settings, only an area saying channel changer > executable and arguments. Sorry for this basic question but the settings are very different to my old trusty 6 year old version of gbpvr.
Thanks for an help you can give.

[Live TV] Zapping through channels doesn't work anymore
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2011-11-09, 05:48 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Now i am back on tracks with latest hotfixes for NextPVR and here starts another problem (updated server and clients yesterday to latest NextPVR versions). Under normal circumstances i would start a new thread, but i think the problem is related to this fix: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ion-(when)

If i start on the server or client live tv, then all is good. The bufferfile is created and streaming runs fine. Ok, but the problem starts if i switch the channel (up/down keys or directly numbered). I can see, that the bufferfile of the old channel is deleted as it should (yep, this is working fine) and the new bufferfile created. But this new bufferfile doesn't grow and the tuner will stop working.
I have to leave live tv and reenter it so this channel will be showed. You can imagine, that this isn't a usefull behavior of watching and zapping tv. ;D
Do you have any idea to fix or at least workaround this problem?
